Continuity mistake: During the "Why Should I Worry" song, Dodger goes with his "scarf" of sausages through a basin full of wet cement. Logically the cement should be stuck on the sausages, though that does not appear to happen, even though the sausages went through the cement. There is cement on his paws, though, that he needs to wash off.
Continuity mistake: As the movie begins, on the sidewalk in front of a store there is a box filled with kittens and a sign reading "Kitties - need home." The words "need home" are in all capital letters. In the close-up, only the "N" is capitalized and the rest of the words are in small letters.
Continuity mistake: As Jenny and Winston first enter the front door of their 5th Avenue flat, notice how the right-hand window significantly changes its distance in relation to the door when seen from an exterior versus interior perspective. Initially the window is one space away, but this soon changes to two spaces when Winston removes his hat and coat in the following shot.
Continuity mistake: When Fagin first meets Jenny, a pail gets jammed on his right foot. However a short time later when Sykes shows up, the pail has switched feet. And at one point in the scene where Jenny reveals the piggy bank, Fagin has no pail on his foot whatsoever.

Continuity mistake: As Francis is standing atop a stack of teetering boxes just outside of Sykes' shipyard office, both front paws are at his side when he starts saying "Farewell, Dulcinea" with a dramatic tone of voice. But in the next shot his left paw is suddenly lifted high into the air.
Continuity mistake: In the scene where Fagin approaches Sykes with an airtight plan to repay the money he owes, watch how the office door shade in the background pulls itself up at one point. In addition, the word 'office' appears on the door for a brief time, only to disappear in the midst of Dodger's fight with Roscoe and DeSoto.
Continuity mistake: The number of steps on Georgette's dog bed staircase changes from time to time, depending on the shot. When Georgette is introduced, there are nine steps initially, but eleven steps appear instead as she descends to make herself up in the following shot. And later on when all of the strays trick Winston into thinking nobody is in the room, the staircase has eight steps.

Continuity mistake: After Fagin kicks off his waterlogged shoes and sits down in the recliner, Tito slides a pair of rabbit slippers over the wet socks on his feet. In subsequent shots, however, Fagin wears no socks. But then at one point he can be seen with the wet socks on his feet again all of a sudden.
Continuity mistake: During "Why Should I Worry", a pair of sunglasses lands on Dodger's head. In this shot we can see a woman walking her two dogs near the intersection. But watch as a green car appears from nowhere between shots, suddenly parked in the background right behind the dogs.
Continuity mistake: Right before Tito and Oliver jump out from the side alley onto Jenny's limo, Tito places his arm around Oliver's shoulder. But between shots, the alley's surroundings change dramatically. The sidewalk vanishes, and a garbage pail & drain grate disappear as well.
Continuity mistake: When the strays are scuffling with one another below the houseboat's deck, Fagin appears through the swinging doors holding a box of dog biscuits in his hands. Both of the doors are in an obvious state of disrepair, with hinges barely attached to the frame. But two shots later, the doors have somehow fixed themselves.
Continuity mistake: After Oliver and Tito jump onto Jenny's limo, it makes a left turn at the intersection. Here we can see how the limo has a pair of windows on either side, but instead three windows are visible from the interior one shot later where Jenny reads a letter from her parents. In addition, the limo has gained a sunroof between shots.
