Continuity mistake: During the vault chase scene, the vault spins on two separate occasions, tangling the lines in the process. The first time, it is being dragged out of the police station and the second when it destroys half a bank. The lines could not have been untangled, because both times they guys were turning to the right and the vault spins in the same direction. (01:40:30)
Other mistake: Throughout the entire chase scene at the end, the vault creates sparks on the road. Yet when they get to the bridge, no sparks appear. This cannot be due to the vault being empty at this point, as the vault itself is 10 tonnes, as mentioned earlier in the film. (01:49:00)A Demon
Continuity mistake: As the cars are being stolen from the train car, they're violently dropped onto the ground, yet they don't have a scratch on them. The best example is the vintage Corvette that Vin Diesel drives out of the train car. The car falls at least 6 feet, landing on the front left corner of the bumper, yet seconds later, the car is in perfect condition. (00:14:40)
Continuity mistake: Almost all the cars aren't with Brazilian plates. The plates here are always XXX- Where X are letters and numbers.
Visible crew/equipment: When Mia and Brian are about to jump off the roof, when a gunman takes aim there's a cameraman to the bottom right below him. (00:32:35)
Continuity mistake: The hole in the plastic which is around the vault Han ordered changes after Tej says "You got a 100 million dollars in a safe, are you going to put somebody else's handprint on it?" This is easiest to spot around the palm scanner: at first, it is completely free, but after that line, the plastic suddenly hangs in front of it. (01:05:40)Friso94
Continuity mistake: When O'Connor blocks the bus on the two-lane highway with his vehicle, the bus swerves around his car towards the shoulder, clips the right rear of the car, and breaks the vehicle's rear window. In the next shot, the bus reverses angles, flips over the left rear of O'Connor's car nearest the center line, becomes airborne, and then rolls over and over down the center of the highway. If it had continued on its initial trajectory, it would have crushed his vehicle and continued onto the shoulder. (00:01:45)bclaggett
Revealing mistake: Reyes shuts the safe after putting a price on Brian and Dom's heads. We see him close the safe from a camera angle inside the safe. When the safe is shut there is a light reflected on the inside of the door that can't be coming from anything that's known to be in the safe - must be the camera or similar. (00:55:25)A Demon
Continuity mistake: In the scene where Hobbs confronts Dominic for the first time at the location where all of the drivers go to race, Hobbs and everyone he is with aim their guns towards Dominic. Officer Neves pulls her gun out as well but when the shot shows the whole group and Dominic says "This is Brazil!", Officer Neves has both of her hands at her sides. Right before it cuts back to her, you can see her start to reach for her gun. But the next shot shows her holding her gun out already, not just pulling it out. (01:11:00)melrom
Other mistake: In the final chase scene with the vault when Brian is in reverse and Dom is pulling, Brian stops to take out the two bikers. The vault stops too but in Dom would still be pulling it since there was no communication, plus the inertia of the vault would have dragged Brian or smashed Dom.
Revealing mistake: When Neves is driving Hobbs' reinforced 4x4 and Vince is talking about his son Nico, Look through the windscreen and the background is the same shot constantly. It's them driving past a telegraph pole towards green trees that never get closer despite driving down the same road for nearly a minute at speed. (01:33:30)A Demon
Revealing mistake: When Brian is racing the GT3RS through the mock up track we have a shot inside while he is doing a hard left. Look at the dash and the speedo on the far left is at 0 while the rev counter in the centre moves. Evidently he was stationary and just revved the car for the shot. (01:04:25)A Demon
Plot hole: Reyes is the only one able to open his vault in the police station as shown in the movie. All the cash from the cash houses are taken to the vault and we see Reyes arrive to check the money is in the vault. How did the money get in the vault if only Reyes himself can open it? To assume the vault is kept open would be ludicrous as it would defy the whole point of the vault. (00:52:30)A Demon
Plot hole: The Rock and his team set up the satellite to keep an eye out for Dom's car. That night he goes out to race and wins the Porsche without ever being spotted. The next night they deliberately set out to lure the Rock to them, and the satellite picks them up immediately. (00:52:00)Jon Sandys
Factual error: Given the specs given in the movie (7x12 feet) and assuming standard container height (2.389m) and 45cm thick walls, the vault would weigh at least 73.76 tonnes. Not 10 tonnes.
