Carry on Loving

Continuity mistake: When the man puts jelly down his wife's dress during the food fight, Jenny Grubb's arm is not on the table. In the next scene, her arm is resting on the table, but in the scene after that, her arm is back in its normal position.

Continuity mistake: When Jenny pushes Terence's face into a cream pie in the food fight sequence towards the end of the film, the holder containing a bottle of champagne behind them changes position between shots.

Continuity mistake: When Jenny pushes Terence's face into a cream pie during the food fight finale, the man sitting next to her has nothing in front of him on the table. When we cut to the man having a cream pie being pushed into his face by his wife, a small plate has suddenly appeared.

Continuity mistake: When Mr Muffet shows Sally Martin the card he received from the Wedded Bliss Agency, he is initially holding the card between his thumb and index finger, but when he gives it to Sally in the next shot, the card is now positioned between his index and middle finger.

Continuity mistake: When the man puts jelly down his wife's dress during the food fight sequence towards the end of the film, look at Jenny and you can see her hair is resting on her shoulder. In the next shot, her hair is now on the flower of her dress, and in the shot after that, it is back on her shoulder again.

Continuity mistake: Look at Sid James' tie when he is pouring drinks over Hattie Jacques during the food fight sequence towards the end of the film. You can see in a long shot, there is nothing on the top part of the tie, but in a close-up, there is a cream stain on it.

Continuity mistake: When Mr Bedsop sees Mr Bliss going into the toilets at the railway station, you can see behind Mr Bedsop a young boy on the road. In the next shot, the young boy has disappeared.

Continuity mistake: When Jacki Piper is fighting with Joan Sims during the food fight sequence towards the end of the movie, you can see that Sid James' suit is completely clean. But after a quick cut of a waiter being hit by a cream pie, we return to the fight between Jacki and Joan, and Sid's suit now has cream stains on it.

Continuity mistake: When the man puts jelly down his wife's dress during the food fight sequence towards the end of the movie, the glass of champagne on the table changes position between shots.

Continuity mistake: When we first see Miss Dempsey in the wedding sequence towards the end of the film, you can see in front of her on the table is a plate of pink jelly with yellow cream on it. But when Mr Snooper is hit in the face by a cream pie, the jelly in front of Miss Dempsey is now yellow and the cream is white.

Continuity mistake: When Mr Muffet is practising his self-defence at the hospital, you can see the patient next to him is lying on his bed with one hand in front of him, but when we see the patient in the next shot, he now has two hands in front.

Continuity mistake: When Jenny pushes Terence's face into a cream cake during the food fight sequence towards the end of the film, you can see there is nothing on the left side of Jenny's face, but in the next shot cream suddenly appears.

Continuity mistake: During the food fight sequence towards the end of the film, we see a man pushing a cream pie into a waiter's face, who then retaliates by pushing a cream pie into the man's face. But when we see a full shot of the couples throwing food around, you can see the waiter in the background and his face has very little cream on it. Therefore, the clip of the two men pushing cream pies into each other's face must have been a disused shot when the fight sequence started.

Continuity mistake: When the violinist is hit in the face by a cream pie during the food fight towards the end of the film, he hits the pianist over the head with his violin, breaking it in the process. But when we see the violinist standing by the piano later on, the violin is now completely intact.

Continuity mistake: When Sidney kisses Esme in her flat, his right hand is initially on her left arm but in the next shot it is now on Esme's back.

Continuity mistake: When Sidney is in the bed in the bedroom at Esme's flat, you can seen on the cabinet next to the bed there is a glass in front of the photograph of Gripper Burke. But when Esme comes into the bedroom with Sidney's drink, the glass has been replaced by a small silver ashtray.

Continuity mistake: When the bartender says "Some blokes have all the luck!" after Bertram and Sally leave the cocktail bar, there are two sets of glasses in front of him on the counter. But when Sidney Bliss enters the bar and comes to the counter in the next shot, there is now only one set of glasses.

Continuity mistake: When the bartender is talking to Sally Martin at the cocktail bar, there is a decanter near the wall on the counter. But when Bertram Muffet enters and sees Sally, the decanter is now by some glasses.

Continuity mistake: When Sophie says "I'll fix you, Sidney Bliss!" when Sidney goes out of the Wedded Bliss Agency, her right hand is by the "Private" door. In the next shot, she can be seen taking her right hand off the wall.

Continuity mistake: When Mr Philpot attempts to shake Jenny's hand at the Grubb's house, there is a man behind them who is holding his cup above the saucer. In the next shot, he now has the cup on the saucer.
