Continuity mistake: Saw VII takes place straight after Saw VI. In Saw VI we see Jill put Hoffman in the bear trap and leave. We then see that Hoffman spends around 45 seconds trying to get the trap off before putting in the bars on the window. In this film however, just after Jill closes the door we see the glass break. No delay.
Revealing mistake: Most of the blood seen in this film is too light to be considered real human blood. In the public trap it is practically pink. The reason for this is the 3D effect. When watched in 3D, it looks more like normal blood. But in normal viewing, it does look too light.
Plot hole: Gideon speaks to Jill about her fingerprints being all over the bear trap. When he does he says that there is a new game going on, referring to Bobby's game. However, the police are unaware of this game at this point. He can't be referring to the garage trap as he says that the game is going on, and the garage trap has already happened.
Revealing mistake: During Jill's dream where she is killed by the "Death-Kart", watch closely. During at least two shots, you can see wires near the wheels that are pulling the cart, revealing it isn't self-propelled as depicted. (They are visible in the third shot of it moving forward, where the camera moves upwards and tilts down, and in the sixth shot of the moving cart, where the camera is looking down).
Continuity mistake: Spoiler: When Hoffman gets out of the body bag at the police station, he kills the coroner. He then hides by the wall next to the door as the second coroner walks in. Camera cuts and Hoffman is now standing in front of the second door, a good three feet away from where he was standing before.
Continuity mistake: When we see the bear trap at the start of the film, there is a small amount of blood on the trap from when Hoffman was in it. Later, when it's left on show for Gideon, there is a lot more blood on the trap. The device is nowhere near any other victims for their blood to spill on to it.

Continuity mistake: As Evan is tearing himself away from the car seat, you can see his back muscles are a fleshy-color and only have a little bit of blood on them. When he crashes at the end of the scene, his back muscles are suddenly dark-red and saturated with blood, despite looking totally different just seconds before.
