Continuity mistake: A spirit knocks Christine over and gives her a bloody lip. Her boyfriend tends to her lip, which is very swollen. As she sleeps, there is a close up of a fly going into her mouth between her lips that are not swollen at all. After she swallows the fly, she sits up and her bottom lip is swollen again. (00:37:05)

Revealing mistake: When Christine is looking at the obituaries in the café, one of them is for Fredericka S. Freund. However, once you get past the first paragraph the obituary seems to be for Dr. Mary Allen Engle (nee English). Also, they forgot to put "Dr." before Freund's name. It may not be a coincidence that the Property Master for the movie is named Ellen Freund. (01:25:00)

Continuity mistake: Petite Christine Brown goes to the cemetery and spends hours digging up the grave of Sylvia Ganush in a pouring rainstorm. In spite of the rain, the 6-foot-deep grave is completely open and the soil is still dry and loose when Christine reaches the bottom. As soon as she reaches the bottom, however, the grave suddenly fills up with over a thousand gallons of water in about 45 seconds.

Factual error: When Sylvia Ganush attacked Christine in the parking garage, because of the other cars being struck the local police would have conducted a thorough investigation including violent assault and attempted murder. They would have taped off and made spray paint marks, reviewed and photocopied the bank's surveillance footage and interviewed both Ganush and Christine. Plus, when Christine went to Mrs. Ganush's house to ask for forgiveness she is met by Ilenka. The local police would have had the household under investigation for assault and attempted murder, the two additional cars damaged would have been taped off as a crime scene, photographed and possibly checked for fingerprints along with any probable surveillance footage. The situation would have hindered Christine's ability to be at the residence to, and threatened by Ilenka.

Continuity mistake: In the scene where Christine is at the women's house at the end of the film, she is sitting at the table with the women and two guys and the goat. The creature is entering the scene and it's very loud. Christine in holding her ears. The next shot, her hands are down and she's looking at the door. In the next shot, she is holding her ears again.

Other mistake: In the scene where Christine first meets the seer, the seer takes Clay's credit card to charge $60, but in the uninterrupted events that follow, he charges nothing to the card. After becoming frightened, he insists on 'returning' the money, but is later revealed to have taken the money anyway. After having insisted on not taking the money, it would have taken an uncomfortable set of circumstances for the group to agree to let the seer electronically charge the money to the credit account anyway, rather than agreeing on no charge and simply leaving.

Audio problem: In the first scene when Christine is driving her car, she has the blowers on max speed yet there is no sound from the fans whatsoever.

Other mistake: When Christine fixes Clay's printer, there's just one small problem. Clay has two iMacs in his office, seemingly connected to an old HP DeskJet printer with a parallel interface. New iMacs do not have parallel ports, so Christine only solved one of Clay's problems.

Question: Was miss Ganush alive when she first attacked Christine, or was that the first manifestation and torment of the Lamia? The attack and it's effects seem highly consistent with what happens to Christine later on, and the frail old lady is just too powerful and durable for someone who dies a day or two later.

Answer: Christine didn't get cursed until the end of that fight, so it could not have been the first attack from the Lamia.
