Factual error: At the resolution of the movie when Filkins is sent back to Hong Kong, in the shot there is a banner written in Hiragana (one of the Japanese alphabets), not Chinese.

Visible crew/equipment: In the scene where Filkins tries to run down the boys with his car, when he spots the boys coming from over a fence, as he stops the car, the camera is reflected briefly in the window. It becomes visible again as Filkins backs his car up.
Drillbit Taylor: I'm Drillbit Taylor... US Army ranger, black-ops operative, decorated marksman, improvised weapons expert.
Wade: Are you still in the military?
Drillbit Taylor: I was discharged - unauthorized heroism.
Trivia: When the boys are interviewing the prospective bodyguards, Adam Baldwin has a brief credited cameo as one of the bodyguard possibilities who states, "Kids hiring a bodyguard to take care of a bully? Stupidest thing I ever heard!" Particularly amusing since this references Adam's first film My Bodyguard, during which he becomes a fellow student's bodyguard.
Question: Why did the three boys pay Drillbit to protect them from Filkins, and not from Ron also?
Answer: They didn't know Ron's name yet.
