Continuity mistake: When John is at the pizza place after jogging, the sweat stain at the top of his shirt continuously changes.
Continuity mistake: In the laundry room, after John jumps in the pool, he gets up to make sure Woodcock's gone and they show the back of John's head. He doesn't have the bald spot that the barber had just cut in his hair.
Continuity mistake: Right before John goes on Tyra, the makeup that was put on above his left eyebrow to cover the scar appears and disappears, revealing and unrevealing the scar between shots.
Revealing mistake: In the barber shop scene, the barber takes a chunk out of Farley's hair with the clippers. A bald spot is shown a few seconds later. In the next scene, the bald spot is gone.
Audio problem: When John and Nedderman show up at Woodcock's ex-wife's house, and Nedderman is driving away, he tells John to ask if she has a pool, then a koi pond. Then he says, "Fish tank?" as he is driving away, but his lips are not moving.
Continuity mistake: When John gets into his friend's van after he leaves the retirement home, they show his bald spot. While he gets out of the van, the spot completely disappears. When they show him from behind, walking towards the house in the next shot, the bald spot is back again.
Audio problem: When Farley arrives in his hometown and steps off the airplane, he and the other man are shouting as if the band were playing loudly and were trying to hear each other. As you can hear, the band is quiet, so their yelling is completely unnecessary and awkward.
Continuity mistake: When John is on Tyra, right after he gets up off the couch they show him and Maggie arguing in the kitchen. You see John hit Maggie's coffee out of her hand and we see some splash on her. After John leaves and Maggie sits in front of the camera on the couch, there is no sign of coffee anywhere on her.
Revealing mistake: When Farley and Woodcock are running on the treadmill, Farley gets shot off at a high speed and when he hits the weightlifting bars behind him, you can see one of the bars bend because it's a rubber prop.
Other mistake: When Beverly Farley asks her son, John, where he has, she states that she thought John was going to ride together with her and Mr. Woodcock, to the awards ceremony. But later, when she leaves the ceremony she is mad in her own car, and Mr. Woodcock's car is right next to the awning. So Beverly and Mr. Woodcock did not drive there together. (01:00:20 - 01:06:10)
Audio problem: During the corn eating contest, the original loud metallic clang of an empty bucket was used over and over, even as the buckets filled up and the sound would have become muted.
