Visible crew/equipment: In the desert, after MAC communicates, he stands and points, and then Eric, Debbie and the others drive him away. However, in the shot where he stands and points, the outline of the puppeteers hand through the red shirt is very visible. It is also visible at other points as well. (01:13:15)Hamster
Revealing mistake: Supposedly Mac makes the unplugged TV work with his energy, and Eric looks at it in awe and inspects its loose cables. But if you look at the right side of the TV, you'll see there's another black cable coming out of it hidden among the cardboard boxes, which makes the whole trick work.Sacha
Continuity mistake: Eric is about to arrive to the place where his mum works, and there's a close-up of the cop's car chasing him. A big line of cars is seen behind him, but in the wide angle not only the cars are gone, but the real traffic is running in a perpendicular road to the one he's in.Sacha
Plot hole: The Alien family finds itself surrounded by armed cops, scientists, and helicopters yet the next time we see them, some seconds later, is walking around some deserted area. If the Government set them free there's no point in the chase of Mac. On the other hand, if the family managed to escape, then the scene with them defenseless in the supermarket is absurd. No explanation whatsoever is given to this really important part of the movie.Sacha
Plot hole: Mac tries to escape from the NASA premises reaching the closed electrified fence. In the next shot, couple seconds later, he has managed to appear on the other side, outside on the street. This is not possible since Mac electrocuted himself and burst like a balloon when he touched the fence.Sacha
