Plot hole: Bond lies to Tanya on the date the embassy would be bombed (Karim and Bond knew the 13th) and Tanya denoted the deception by telling Bond when he came in the decoding room she thought it was the 14th. How did Grant know to A: be on the train and B: have an entire escape plan set up for the wrong day?
Continuity mistake: As the destroyed helicopter falls, it first falls straight and smooth. Then the wreckage is twisting, and finally on the ground. As the wreckage is on the ground, there is no indication that it has just hit, as indicated by the off-screen noise, and the explosions are on an already settled prop set up for the stunt.
Continuity mistake: When the helicopter chases Bond, a headset and a hand speaker appear on the close-ups but disappear on the wide angle.
Continuity mistake: When Bond hides from the helicopter under a crack in the rocks, the rocks, the crack and the bushes around are totally different in the close-up. Plus a bunch of moss suddenly appears.
Character mistake: Tatiana Romanova asks a local policeman for help. Lutfen is Turkish for please. Tatiana says Luften, which means warm. (00:14:30)
Continuity mistake: During the scene the handkerchief in Sean Connery's pocket alternates from being roughly folded with the higher side on his left side to being folded neatly with a straight edge. (01:32:00 - 01:34:00)
Audio problem: At the end, Bond gets a phonecall from someone in the hotel room. As he says "yes" on answering, his mouth doesn't move. (01:45:50)
Continuity mistake: At the Gypsy camp, Bond sits down and there is nothing in front of him on the table. We see the belly dancer arrive and suddenly there is a plate of food and Bond has got a drink in his hand. (00:38:20)
Suggested correction: The cut to the belly dancer is a jump ahead in time. There is no continuous action or sound between the shots and the food appearing shows time has passed.
Continuity mistake: When talking to Tatiana for the first time, Klebb has her truncheon on the desk as she stands up to walk around the desk. However, when she reaches the other side of the desk the truncheon is now in her hands again. (00:16:10)
Continuity mistake: Klebb's glasses disappear during the interview with Tatiana (mistake already listed) and appear on the map on the desk. Between the shots, the glasses change position from standing up correctly to lying on their back. (00:15:40)
Continuity mistake: When Klebb is meeting Grant for the first time she hands her bag over and it is clear that her hands are empty. However, once she's walked round him, the brass knuckles appear in her hands, ready for her to put them on and hit him. (00:13:15)
Visible crew/equipment: When leaving the Gypsy's Bond gets into a white car as it drives off. When it does so, the stage light is reflected very nicely. (00:46:55)
Continuity mistake: When Bond asks Kerim to translate something to their host, Bond is looking at his hands. Cameras change angle and now he is looking at Kerim and the host. (00:40:40)
Visible crew/equipment: When we see the car leaving the airport as the man with a moustache walks out there is a very nice reflection of a crew member in the paintwork. (00:24:20)
Continuity mistake: When Klebb is inspecting Grant, she has her arms by her side. Camera cuts and now they are clasped behind her back. (00:13:30)
Continuity mistake: In the scenes before and after Grant (travelling as Nash) joins Bond (travelling as Somerset) on the train, there are several insert shots showing the train from outside. Some show a Continental 2-8-0 locomotive with three headlights, towing black coaches with square windows and towing several vans. Some show a British 4-6-2 loco without headlights, and with British Railways legible on the tender; towing green coaches with rectangular windows. Oops. (01:20:00 - 01:30:00)
Audio problem: As Grant throws a knife at one of the gypsies at their camp there's a swoosh sound. The sound is way too long considering how near he is and how hard he has to throw it in order for it to be lethal.
Continuity mistake: As Bond's car takes off, a green cab, then the Bulgarian's car are after him. A moment later, the inside shot of the car reveals the cab has suddenly disappeared.
Visible crew/equipment: After Bond is in his car, it takes off, as well as a cab, and the spy following him. Reflected on all three is a man in dark clothing (presumably a crew member, as he doesn't move from his position), the crew, camera equipment, and a man with white shades on.
Continuity mistake: After the helicopter crashes, Bond runs towards the car and one can notice it's not Sean Connery but his stunt double, who looks absolutely nothing like him.
