Continuity mistake: When Jenna first sees her boyfriend she has the umbrella in her hand. She unhooks the strap on the umbrella, then the shot changes and the umbrella is hooked again, then back to unhooked.
Continuity mistake: In her apartment, when Jenna walks into the hallway as she hears the musical tone of her cell phone, the position of her white coat differs in the wide shot and close-up and then when she runs out of her apartment as well. (00:15:50)
Continuity mistake: At the first Poise meeting in the movie, Jenna is given a scone or biscuit at first it is raisinless. In the next shot it is full of raisins.
Continuity mistake: Just as Jenna is calling for a cab that happens to be driven by her old man, Chris Grady, she runs in the street and stops. The scene cuts to the cab slamming on its brakes, and then cuts back to her, but with the same cars sitting in the same spots as before she whistled about 2-3 seconds before.
Continuity mistake: When Jenna goes to talk to Matt before he gets married, Matt's tie changes its position around his neck. It changes in the shots going to and from Matt and Jenna.
Continuity mistake: When Jenna and Matt are talking in the park about her hiring him to be the Poise photographer, her hair on the left side of her head changes from being in front of her shoulder to behind her shoulder several times.
Continuity mistake: When Matt and Jenna are in Jenna's apartment, from a back shot Jenna sips her Diet Coke then puts it down, and her hand is still on the can. Then when it cuts to a closeup of Jenna her hand is now on the yearbook. (00:28:35)
Continuity mistake: At first when Lucy and Jenna are at the work party talking to the editor and chief of Sparkle, Jenna's Pina Colada glass is full. However, in the next shot the glass is half full and then the glass goes back to full again.
Continuity mistake: When Jenna asks the DJ in the party of Poise to play "Thriller" he starts dancing. Then, there's a closeup to Jenna and we can see that the DJ is not dancing anymore. In the next shot, he's there, dancing again.
Continuity mistake: When Jenna is having her picture taken at the school when she is telling the photographer her name is Jenna her hair is in front of her ears but when you see the picture her hair is behind her.
Continuity mistake: When Jenna sees herself in the mirror and topples backward over the shelf, there's a tall floor lamp directly behind the striped armchair with an ottoman. As Jenna gets to her feet, we also see there's nothing beside the armchair's arm. When Jenna's new appearance shocks her and she whispers, "What is happening?" the floor lamp has vanished, and now a small table with a plant appears beside the armchair. (00:14:20)
Continuity mistake: When Jenna gets out of the car to go to her job for the first time, her hair/makeup is a little frazzled. As she and her friend talk outside the building, her hair becomes neater and skin a little darker from one shot to the next.
Continuity mistake: When Jenna's boss puts the Sparkle magazine cover on the wall next to the Poise cover, they are only about 1/4" apart. This is very clear when he is talking about the numbers (11 vs 10) because they show a close-up shot of the covers. He asks a rhetorical question and Jenna raises her hand; from that point forward, the magazine covers are at least 1 1/2" to 2" apart. (00:20:45)
Continuity mistake: When Jenna is walking with the umbrella down the hall of her apartment, in the first shot the umbrella is latched closed and Jenna unlatches it so that the umbrella can open up. In the very next shot it is back together, then it's unlatched again. (00:15:35)
Continuity mistake: When they are at the party for Poise, Matt is dancing along with the group. If you look closely at his legs when there's a close-up of Richard, he's already stopped dancing. The next shot, he stops dancing and tells Jenna that he has to go.
Answer: The rest of their lives...Jenna changed the future where she was 30 to a different one where her and Matt live happily ever after.
