Audio problem: When Bond and Honey are on the beach the hoods of Dr No come by boat. On the boat there is a guy shouting through a megaphone. As they sail away again the man waves the megaphone to his comrades and says "Full Speed Ahead". Yet his voice sounds identical to when he was speaking through the megaphone, though he isn't holding it to his mouth anymore.
Continuity mistake: The hearse that was involved in Strangways death and later chases Bond is a 1937 or 1938 Lasalle, with the pod style headlights mounted on stalks on either side of the radiator. The car that drives off the cliff and explodes is a later model car, with the headlights mounted flush into the fenders. It is very easy to spot while the burning car is rolling down the side of the cliff.
Other mistake: After the decontamination chamber scene, Bond and Honey drink a cup of tea. Honey very quickly passes out due to the tea being laced with some type of sleep inducing drug. However, as Bond throws his cup in anger, Honey flinches very hard. Surprising considering how quickly she passed out after drinking the tea.
Audio problem: When the powerboat shoots at the island, afterward, when the guy with the speakerphone tells them that he would be back later on, he then turns to the driver and tells him to move on, but when he says that, it sounds as though he's still talking in the microphone even thought the microphone is at his side.
Plot hole: When Bond, Quarrel and Felix sail to Crab Key, Felix says that it's 48 hours to the moonshot. Bond replies that they'll "Be back in 12, if not then it's your beat and you'd better bring your marines with you". We know that Bond was still on the island when the rocket took off (it's when he kills Dr. No) and yet it's only when He and Honey are sailing AWAY from the island that Felix shows up with the marines. Why did he wait the full 48 hours (longer even as the moonshot had already occurred) when it was obvious something was wrong when Bond hadn't come back after the 12 or so hours as agreed?
Continuity mistake: A car chase early on has a cutaway to the speedometer of the villain pursuing Bond, of a dashboard totally and obviously different to the actual one on the car, and the director knew it, but they were low budget and had no choice, but felt that if the scene was working (it does) nobody should really be stopping to notice such things. Still.....
Factual error: When Professor Dent tries to shoot Bond at Miss Taro's and Bond is waiting for him in the darkened room, the 'Walther PPK' that Bond is busily screwing the silencer onto, at the beginning of the scene, does not have an external hammer, and is therefore not a Walther at all. It's a Browning 1910 .32 calibre.
Other mistake: At the beginning of the film when the lady who is calling London on the radio is shot through the glass there is a jump cut. This shows that two scenes were spliced together. Perhaps the prop gun didn't work the first time. The framing of the shot noticeably jumps when the gun shot happens.
Other mistake: At the end, James and Honey jump into a small boat, and after James has dealt with the two men in the boat, Honey deals with the front tender, but no-one deals with the rear tender - we can see it rising out of the water, but somehow it is no longer attached to the boat.
Continuity mistake: When Bond goes to see a fisherman, to ask him about a man's death, the fisherman walks away, saying he knows nothing, and walks into a bar on the beach. He is talking to the barman and the bar has nothing on it, until a second later, when, suddenly, there is an open bottle of beer, a glass half-filled with beer and an ashtray.
Continuity mistake: At the end of the movie Bond and Honey are in a small boat when Felix Leiter comes in a bigger boat and gives them a tow. When Bond sits next to Honey he sits on her right hand side. In the next shot he is on her left and in the next shot he is on her right, and back again, etc.
Revealing mistake: When Bond and Honey are made to take showers to clean them of any remaining radioactivity, they are meant to be naked. When Honey gets out of the shower a man holds a towel up for her, but if you look closely you can see that she is wearing a flesh-colored swim suit.
Continuity mistake: When Dr No, Bond, and Honey are eating dinner, Bond picks up and flexes a table knife. Then there is a wide shot where his hands are under the table. The next tight shot shows him again flexing the knife, then once again goes to the wide angle showing his hands under the table.
Revealing mistake: James Bond and his two friends are hiding underwater while Dr. No's thugs search the river with dogs. Bond had very quickly cut three hollow bamboo stalks to use to breathe underwater through the stalks. However, you can see the sections in the bamboo, so the closed stalk sections, separated by the natural divider, would not allow air to pass through. Bond hadn't cleared through the sections with a thin pole, so these would not have been usable as breathing tubes without more work.
Continuity mistake: Following their repast, Dr. No instructs his minions to soften Bond up, which they do with great enthusiasm. When Bond regains consciousness in the cell, his brown Nehru jacket, while a little scuffed, is quite presentable. Shortly after, when he removes it to create protection for his bare hands, his undershirt is ripped severely, and there is a blood stain on it.
Continuity mistake: When Honey is telling Bond that her shells could be sold for $50 in Miami, not only does the background appear to be the wrong section of the beach (it looks like the area up where her boat is stashed, not down on the sand bar) but at the bottom of the screen, some kind of buoy or flotation device bobs up on the water just behind Ursula Andress. A couple shots later, however, when they're running along the beach, the whole area is completely clear.
Continuity mistake: When you see Bond in his hotel room for the first time, there are two bottles on the table, a clear one and a green one. When he re-enters the room and checks his traps, the green bottle has disappeared. Bond takes a bottle from a drawer but that also is clear so what happened to the green one?
Continuity mistake: One of Bond's traps in his room is his briefcase; he puts talcum powder on it. When he is done he sets the case down on the right side of the table. To the left is a mirror and by the mirror is an assortment of perfume bottles and a shaving bag. When he returns, the contents on the table are reversed exactly, and the perfume bottles are replaced by a magazine.
Continuity mistake: At the baccarat table at the ambassador's club, Sylvia Trench has a red dress on. A piece of the dress off of her shoulder. In the first shot, this piece goes to the left about three inches from the broach she is wearing. In the next shot, the piece hangs down, covering half her broach.
