Revealing mistake: A quick mistake happens when Brenda and the girl crawling out of the TV get in a fight. Brenda throws the punch, the other girl falls over, and for a quick second her dress flies up too far and you can see where the makeup (that makes her look dead) on her legs end and you can see her real thigh. Continuity mistake: When Tom is holding the glass oil lamp (start of Michael Jackson scene), the glass is first clear, then darkened black by smoke, then clear again. (00:46:00)
Continuity mistake: When the two girls are hitting each other with random objects, you can see Pamela's underwear just above her skirt line, but in the next shot it is gone. (00:01:55)
Continuity mistake: When Tom rips off the Michael Jackson nose and we see a close up shot of it, it has all jagged edges. But in the next shot when Tom picks up the rest of the costume outside, it is a perfect circle where the nose used to be. (00:47:25)
Continuity mistake: In the scene with Brenda's wake, notice how Brenda's eyes change. In one shot they are wide open, in the next they are closed. This changes several times during the scene. (00:30:55 - 00:33:30)
Continuity mistake: Simon Cowell has a glass on his table. But when he gets out of the chair the glass is gone. (00:17:05)
Continuity mistake: When Brenda keeps pretending to be hurt or dying, she pretends to have a seizure and she foams from the mouth, she wipes it off with her sleeve, in the next scene there is no foam on her sleeve anywhere. (00:23:15)
Continuity mistake: When Father Muldoon is knocking on Cindy's door, she walks towards it. It is a frosted glass door, but you should be able to see if someone is standing behind it. We can't see Muldoon standing there at all. It cuts to Cindy opening the door, and then back to Muldoon standing in the door opening. We can also see a painting in the hall, and when Cindy closes the door we can see the painting through the glass door. How come we didn't see Muldoon? (00:13:15)
Continuity mistake: When Tom is talking to George at the farm about his hip-hop dreams, on his right hand he is wearing a glove and is also holding another glove. The glove stays on all during the conversation, and we never see him take it off. Then, when George gets his head stuck in the bus, you can clearly see both of Tom's hands - empty. (00:08:30 - 00:09:20)
Continuity mistake: Where Cody is watching the tape for the first time and Cindy rushes in, Cody can be seen wearing a greyish washed-out looking jumper. When we next see Cody in a couple of cuts time, his jumper is now a brighter shade of blue. (00:45:00)
Continuity mistake: In Cody's room, when the color drawing is on the bed and when Cindy holds it in front of her, we see it includes the sky, the house/chimney with smoke, the boy, the arrow, etc. In the close-up of the drawing, there are now three large spaceships drawn under the sky, between the house and the boy. Continuity mistake: When Pamela and Jenny try to turn the television off, you see Jenny lying in bed while Pamela gets up heading for the television. In the next shot, you see them both running towards it side by side. Jenny could not have gotten up that fast to be running beside Pamela. (00:00:55)
Continuity mistake: When Pamela hits Jenny with a glass jar, Pamela picks it out of nowhere when she is lying in front of the desk. The jar was not by the desk earlier. (00:01:30)
Continuity mistake: When father Muldoon has arrived and asked where Cody is, there is a shot of the table where Cody just sat and you can also see a shelf on the wall. Later, when Cindy comes back home and finds George lying unconscious over the table the shelf is different and is screwed on higher up the wall. (00:13:35 - 00:43:35)
Continuity mistake: When George and Cindy are driving along, after getting married, if you look out the back window, you can see Cody is not on the road. The camera cuts and he is. (01:12:40)
Continuity mistake: When Brenda and Cindy are talking, Brenda yells at the kid who is holding a red crayon. In the next shot the crayon is blue. (00:10:15)
Continuity mistake: When Becca gives Kate the remote control, she tries to switch the TV off, but holds the remote backwards. Kate holds the remote, also with a pen in her hand, but between several shots of her the pen continually disappears then appears in her hand. (00:00:50)
Continuity mistake: When Pamela walks up the stairs, you can see the wall behind her is free of a painting on the window's right. In the next shot, however, a painting is on the wall. (00:03:00)
Continuity mistake: When Jenny is lying on her bed doing crosswords you see the folded side of the crossword magazine is on the left side. When it cuts you see that the folded side has changed to the right side. (00:00:30)
Continuity mistake: When Becca and Kate run up to the TV and turn it off, to the left of the TV on the egde of the desk is a little white candle holder. But when Becca and Kate are play-fighting the candle holder's gone. (00:01:00 - 00:01:50)
Answer: It was an alien in a Michael Jackson skin. He shed it and ran off into the bushes.
