Continuity mistake: When Brenda is fighting the girl that comes out of the TV, her hair changes between shots. (00:26:15)
Continuity mistake: When Cindy comes to pick up Cody you see him drawing. The amount of crayons changes between the shots. (00:09:50)
Continuity mistake: When the president hits the two aliens in his car the two aliens fall over with their hands out front and the car stops while they are falling, but in the next scene the aliens are under the car. (01:03:25)
Continuity mistake: When we first see Tom lying in bed sleeping, there is a closeup of his bedside desk, and you can see a watch laying on the edge of it. Then as it cuts to a wide shot, you can see the watch again, but it is now laying at a different angle. (00:04:00)
Continuity mistake: The way Tom hold the sheriff's hand while blowing his nose changes between the shots. (00:07:35)
Continuity mistake: In the cellar, Cindy walks backwards into a shelf and knocks off a jar of marbles. Look more closely, and you'll see the jar fall off, then smash into the shelf below, leaving a pile of glass on it. But as the shot changes, you can see the shelf again, and the glass has disappeared. (01:06:25)
Continuity mistake: When Orpheus stands beside The Oracle when she is sitting in her chair, Orpheus has his hands on the chair. The hands change position between shots. (00:41:40)
Continuity mistake: When Cindy is talking to the oracle you see the oracle sitting in her chair. It cuts back and forth between them. First the oracle doesn't have anything under her left arm, then suddenly there is a leopard pattern looking pillow under her arm. Then it's suddenly gone again. (00:41:30)
Continuity mistake: When Cindy gets back home she walks into Cody's room to see if he is in there. She then spots a drawing on the bed. She picks the drawing up with her left hand. When it cuts to a closeup of the drawing she is holding the drawing with her right hand. (00:57:40)
Continuity mistake: When Cindy pushes the knife under the door, her left knee is a few inches from the door. When it cuts her knee is close into the door. (01:01:35)
Continuity mistake: When Cindy picks up one of Cody's drawings at school you see three drawings left on the table. When it cuts from behind Cody there are four drawings on the table. (00:09:50)
Continuity mistake: When Cindy slowly approaches the cellar door because she can see there's someone on the other side, you can see to the left of the door, and no shovels are visible, but later when Mahalik gets into the cellar shovels have suddenly appeared there. (01:01:15 - 01:02:55)
Continuity mistake: When Mahalik hits the alien with a shovel, the alien's head flies off, but when we see the alien lying on the ground, you can see the alien still has his head. (01:05:15)
Continuity mistake: When Cindy finds Cody drawing, you can see that the girl in the picture has bent legs. After she is done flipping through the pile of paper she looks at Cody's drawing, but this time the girl's legs are straight. (00:12:35)
Continuity mistake: In the beginning, when we first get to Tom Logan's house, you see there is not any smoke coming from the chimney. But later on, when we see the shot from above the corn field and the house, you see smoke coming out of the chimney. I doubt Tom would have made a fire because he ran out of the house immediately after hearing Sue screaming, and he had just gotten out of bed. (00:03:55 - 00:05:35)
Continuity mistake: In the scene where Cindy gets an envelope with some pictures in it from Brendas mother, Cindy is holding the envelope and the pictures in her left hand and as she is looking through the pictures she puts the pictures behind the envelope. When it cuts no pictures are behind the envelope, but all are in front. (00:31:15)
Continuity mistake: When Tom arrives at the scene where his wife is injured you can see out his back window of the car that there is nothing there. But when he gets out there are two police cars standing right behind him with red lights on. (00:27:50)
Continuity mistake: When Tom gets down to the cellar you see George standing by something that is covered by a brown carpet. When it cuts to Tom walking you can see a trash can suddenly appear on the right side of the brown carpet. Not easy to see cause it happens kind of fast, but if you roll it in slow motion you can see it. (01:00:10)
