Shortly thereafter, the Genie as a bee goes back into the lamp under his silk hat and it is plain to see how large the lamp is and that it would be impossible for it not to be seen with the hat off. Then Ali and Jasmine fly off on the "Magic Carpet Ride". After the ride, Jasmine, suspecting Ali is Aladdin, unexpectedly rips the hat off his head to reveal his hair. No lamp again. But when he returns to the palace and Ali is snatched by the guards, the lamp is under his hat when the hat falls off as he is thrown into the ocean.

When they are discussing royalty going out into the public in disguise. The Jewel begins to shrink steadily in size throughout the scene. After Jasmine flicks the feather up on Ali's turban, the jewel is now 25% of it's normal size. Extremely noticeable as Ali leans towards Jasmine. The shot cuts to carpet for a second and when we see Ali and Jasmine again, the jewel is restored to nearly correct size, but then we are treated to a rare "Swimming" animation error. The jewel in Ali's turban very noticeably migrates up at least 2 inches in a second.(as though it were alive and moving), The jewel actually leaves the band on camera. The bottom third of the jewel is supposed to be attached to the gold hat band, with the fabric in the front supported and swagged by it to keep the turban high in the front. So the movement can't be caused by the fabric falling in the back pulling it up. The jewel in Ali's turban is correctly drawn and scaled when they return to the palace in the next scene, so that you may make an easy size and placement comparison.

He was made older after a substantial amount of the film had been done. In the process of re-animating the film to match the now 16 year old Aladdin, some parts were overlooked. Particularly in the "Friend Like Me" segment. Compare the size of Abu to Aladdin. In some spots Abu is almost half the size of Aladdin(long shots). Continuity mistake: When Aladdin enters his rooftop hideaway, the curtain over the window is supported by a peg on each side. The curtain sags down it the middle to show this fact. When Aladdin opens it later, it slides over as though it were on a curtain rod. Also of note, our first look at the curtain shows it going all the way to the floor. When he tucks Abu in, then turns to open it, the curtain is now above the rim of the wall and less torn. When he slides the curtain open, Aladdin is by Abu on the right of the window, he never takes any steps, but once the curtain is open, Aladdin is on the far left of the window 12 feet away and sits down.

Continuity mistake: Each time the palace is shown in a long shot, it has a straight, wide road leading up to the palace gates. After Jafar has been turned into a genie trapped in the black lamp, and the spells are broken, everything is restored to it's original splendor. However, when the palace is shown to be restored, it no longer has a road leading up to it. The area is packed with houses. Was it put back in the wrong spot?
