X-Men 2

New this month Question: I don't get why Rogue is defending Bobby from what his parents are saying, because doesn't she hate her powers?

THE GAMER NEXT DOOR

New this month Answer: She may hate her powers, but she also hates being persecuted for being a mutant when it's not her fault. Plus, she truly does think Bobby is gifted and that his mutant powers are special (they were able to share a kiss because of his powers).

Bishop73

New this month Answer: She does, but she also knows her situation is not everybody's (her power kills people, Bobby's makes nice ice flowers), and as a fellow mutant and Bobby's friend she comes to his defense.

New this month Question: How does Magneto know that Stryker was the one who gave Wolverine his adamantium?

THE GAMER NEXT DOOR

New this month Answer: When Mystic broke into Stryker's offices, by changes into Lady Deathstryke, she got into his computer files. There were decades of top secret and covert op files. Besides, Magneto himself had decades to gather intelligence on any government officials, who were against mutants.

Question: In a conversation between Senator Kelly and Colonel Stryker - regarding whether Stryker wants a war - Stryker says he was leading military operations when Kelly was still a baby. Kelly isn't young. How old are each character supposed to be? (Granted, that's technically Mystique as Kelly, but Stryker does not know that).

Chosen answer: Given his history with Logan, Stryker could easily be in in 70s. Assuming Senator Kelly is in his 50s, that could put Stryker as a young operative when Kelly was born. In any case, he may be exaggerating.

Jason Hoffman

Question: Does Cyclops sleep with his visor on?

Chosen answer: He has various other sets of glasses made of the same material - he would wear one of those rather than his bulkier visor.

Tailkinker

Question: Is there a reason for Storm creating a storm when the X-Men talk to the president or is it just to make the scene more "spooky"?

Chosen answer: The president is delivering a live address on television. The storm would make an excuse for the break in the signal.

Nick N.

Question: Is Wolverine actually a 'mutant'? Since he had the adamantium surgically grafted in his skin, it didn't come naturally like mutants do.

Chosen answer: Yes, his mutant abilities are enhanced senses, enhanced strength and agility and rapid healing, along with retractable bone claws. His healing factor is what allowed him to survive the implantation of the adamantium.

Grumpy Scot

Question: Do Nightcrawler and Storm have a crush on each other or something? They seem pretty close...

Chosen answer: Not a crush, they just connect. Storm feels for him because of the pain and suffering he has been through, and Nightcrawler feels for her because she is angry at the world and he tries to comfort her. Besides that, he is closer to her because she was the first of the group to try and get to know him.

T Poston

Question: When Jean 'hears everything' at the museum, she hears a man yell "to the shelter" this suggests that she can hear all the way to Washington D.C. with her incoming increase of powers. My question is can the Phoenix hear the future? If you watch with the subtitles, you see as she's looking around, it says WOMAN- THEY'RE GONNA KILL HIM the voice is of Rogue in the scene where she bobby and john are in the tunnels after Logan closes the passage way.

Chosen answer: The Phoenix Force is a primal force of the universe and Jean is tapping into it. As such, she's heading for a point where she really doesn't have any limitations - in the comics, Phoenix destroyed an entire star system. A degree of precognition doesn't seem remotely out of the question.

Tailkinker

Question: What was the deal with Magneto switching the metal squares in Cerebro around? They said Prof. X just needed to concentrate on a certain group of people, and the 'little girl' was telling him to concentrate on the mutants and then the humans, and we already saw he could switch between them without aid so why was rearranging the plates necessary?

Chosen answer: He could switch between them in Cerebro. In Cerebro 2 (built at Alkali Lake), the plates had to be moved to find/kill one or the other. Stryker deliberately set it up that way so that Professor X couldn't hurt any humans (like himself or his troops) if he came to his senses in the second Cerebro.

Grumpy Scot

Question: When Logan returns to the mansion, how come Rogue got so excited? she couldn't have known it was him, and also, did she not think that it might upset Bobby that she was really excited to see another man?

THE GAMER NEXT DOOR

Chosen answer: She has a bit of a crush on Logan, and when she heard the motorcycle (which Logan had "borrowed") she assumed it was him. She's a teenager, so she probably wasn't thinking about Bobby's feelings.

Jason Hoffman

Question: Apparently Jubilee is in the scene when the army attacks the mansion. Can anyone tell me where she is? Thanks.

Chosen answer: Jubilee appears several times throughout the movie, although not seen using her powers, apart from in deleted scenes on the DVD. She is the Asian girl running around the mansion, she is in the holding cell in Alkali Lake (Storm shouts "Jubilee" to her), she is seen with a blanket wrapped around her when they find the helicopter is gone and she is seen in Xavier's office at the end.

Question: They talk about how Nightcrawler may accidentally teleport himself into a wall. What would have happened if he did?

Chosen answer: If he appears within the wall, he would die. The structure of a wall is solid so his body including his organs and so on would only appear (or materialise) within cracks and gaps within the wall. Something could not "instantly form" within a solid area.

Baz94

Question: Does anyone know how old Hugh Jackman is?

Chosen answer: Hugh Jackman was born on October 12th, 1968 in Sydney, New South Wales, Australia. That would make him thirty five, going on thirty six at the time of this writing.

Garlonuss

Question: When the X-men are trying to escape Alkali Lake we see Rogue flying the X-jet but why is she flying it in the first place?

Chosen answer: The jet was originally left some distance from the base to avoid detection - when it became apparent that things were going to hell, Bobby and Rogue decided to try moving the jet closer to the base in order to rescue their friends.

Tailkinker

Question: Instead of waiting for someone to inject liquid iron into themselves, could Magneto manipulate the small amounts of iron that are already present inside a person?

MovieBuff09

Chosen answer: It's unlikely. Most of the naturally occurring iron atoms in the human body are tied up as part of the hemoglobin molecule - it's unclear whether Magneto could affect it under those circumstances. The amount of iron is also extremely small, at most a couple of grams, which really isn't much to work with. Mystique's escape plan gives him a lot more to work with, in a much purer form.

Tailkinker

Question: When Professor X starts killing everyone, he and Jason remain unharmed. Does Cerebro protect them from it?

Chosen answer: Anyone inside the Cerebro chamber would have to be immune to its effects. Otherwise, the professor wouldn't be able to use the machine.

Jason Hoffman

Question: What happened to Jason? I know Stryker said he died but it sure didn't seem like that.

Chosen answer: Of course he died! He was left in the collapsing/flooding cerebro, which Professor X was only barely rescued from safely.

Question: Why wasn't Ray Park or Tyler Mane cast for the movie?

Chosen answer: It's because their characters Toad and Sabretooth both got killed during the final fight of X-Men 1 (Toad was hit by Storm's lightning, Sabretooth fell off the statue of liberty).

nightline

Question: When Jean says hi to Logan when he returns why does Rogue just look straight at Storm like she's teasing them?

THE GAMER NEXT DOOR

Answer: Logan and Jean have a history- Logan specifically loves Jean and expressed his affections towards her in the past, and Jean feels some love towards him but can't act on it because of her relationship with Scott. As Rogue and Logan are also very close, it seems to be subtly implied that she might be a hint jealous of Logan's affections to Jean. Also, Rogue might feel a tab-bit awkward by their conversation given the circumstances.

Answer: Jean and Logan's romantic affection for one another is a poorly kept secret between the two and is awkward to witness for their friends.

BaconIsMyBFF

Question: We never see Scott finding out the fact that Logan used his car, stuck his adamantium claws in the steering wheel, and left it at Bobby Drake's house in Boston. How did this likely play out?

Chosen answer: Considering the circumstances Scott would most certainly overlook the loss of his car. The love of his life has just been killed. Even if he didn't overlook it, Logan only took the car because of an emergency. Nothing that happens to the car is remotely Logan's fault.

BaconIsMyBFF

Question: Why were the X-men planning to escape in the helicopter instead of the jet they came in? Did they forget that Rogue and Bobby and John were waiting for them?

THE GAMER NEXT DOOR

Chosen answer: The dam was breaking and at any moment they could all be killed. The helicopter was merely the quickest way to escape since they were much closer to it. Presumably they would have contacted Rogue and Bobby as soon as they got in and guided them on how to escape, or tried to go and pick them up.

Question: During the Mansion attack scene, Stryker and his men are presumably defenseless against Wolverine with their guns because of his immune regenerating abilities. So why not just stay at the Mansion and kill them all off, securing the Mansion, while the other students escape with Colossus. Was it because of the remaining students who refused to leave?

Chosen answer: Firstly, Wolverine is not invulnerable. A later scene shows him being knocked out cold when he is shot in the head. Secondly, the best plan was to escape. The mansion was being overwhelmed and even with his abilities Wolverine would have a hard time fighting that many soldiers without casualties on his side.

BaconIsMyBFF

Question: I think Storm and Jean trusted Nightcrawler pretty easily. But what make them think that he wouldn't have tried to escape from them? It could have been possible so maybe it would have been easier to tie him up, gag him and lock him into the X-Jet instead of letting him sit in the back seat?

Chosen answer: Tying Nightcrawler up wouldn't work as he is a teleporter! Jean could use her power to stop him from teleporting, so it's possible she was stopping him on the X-Jet, but they probably did just trust him. Restraining him would pretty much ensure he wouldn't trust them.

Sierra1

Question: When Mystique was disguised as a girl named "Grace" was this supposed to be her normal human side (except with a different name), or was she just transforming into someone else?

Chosen answer: Just a random transformation.

MasterOfAll

Question: During the conversation between Magneto and John on the X-Jet, why did Magneto refer to "The X-Men" as the real bad guys? Didn't he try to kill Rogue in the previous movie?

Chosen answer: Because the X-Men are his enemies. Magneto does not see himself as the bad guy.

MasterOfAll

Question: What was the whole purpose of Nightcrawler trying to assassinate the president?

Chosen answer: In the first X-Men movie, the proposed "Mutant Registration Act" was called off. William Stryker, who was anti-mutant, wanted to force the issue by having a mutant kill the president, to show how dangerous mutants are. Nightcrawler was brainwashed by Stryker to attempt this.

Bishop73

Question: Why didn't Nightcrawler just teleport into the White House grounds to kill the President, instead of sneaking in with the group, putting on makeup to hide his skin, etc? Why did Stryker have him do all of that?

Chosen answer: Having Nightcrawler teleport in and out of the White House would have been too discreet, and Stryker wanted to put on a show. He wanted the spectacle of one (scary-looking) mutant invading the White House, taking out all the security and successfully assassinating the President single-handedly. This would have stirred the public enough to justify his would-be war on mutants. Even though the attempt on his life failed, the President was still shaken enough for Stryker to weasel out permission to raid Xavier's mansion. This would give Stryker what he needed to complete Cerebro 2 and bring his so-called "war on mutants" to a close.

Question: When I used to collect Essential X-men, someone wrote in saying that they had seen the Mutant Leech somewhere in the film, but I can't find him, has anyone spotted him and can anyone tell me where he is?

Chosen answer: Leech does not appear in the film. The boy with the discoloured tongue is Artie Maddicks, a different character (though one who was a good friend of Leech's in the comics).

Question: Could someone please tell me where I can find a good quality picture of the back of Jean Grey's coat? I want to copy the Phoenix symbol that you see on the back of her coat (it's when Jean and Storm enter the church looking for Nightcrawler). I can't get anything resembling a decent picture on my TV (I even went frame by frame), and various Google image searches haven't even yielded a crappy picture. For something that should be simple, it's sure driving me up a wall. If anyone can help me out I will be extremely grateful.

Chosen answer: I don't know if this is exactly because I can't see it very good in the movie, but give a try: http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_AnPqTL-MV8I/SWgBkLw-GWI/AAAAAAAABIU/7Bfy-T3svkw/s400/Phoenix.bmp. Or try this: http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-3nijF7x6U6U/Tlf3DATcm4I/AAAAAAAAJKE/fuaw3BXPHRY/s1600/Phoenix+Tattoo+Pattern56.jpg

Anastasios Anastasatos

Question: In the ending scene, how come Jean couldn't control the plane, and stop the flood from the inside? Would've been a whole lot easier.

M0vi3

Chosen answer: Because, as we see earlier in the film, Jean's increasing power levels cause problems with electrical equipment. She has to be clear of the plane for it to fly under its own power. From the outside, she can control it without risking it losing power and crashing into the water below.

Tailkinker

Question: I never understood what happened to Kurt Wagner in the end. Did he stay in the mansion?

Chosen answer: For a while, yes, but at some point, he leaves because the X-men are too violent and he prefers a peaceful life.

Brad

Question: I was watching this movie last night, and it got to the part where Nightcrawler/Storm are looking down at the kids in the cell. On the back wall there looks to be an image of Nightcrawler in the place where he teleports later on. What is this doing there?

Chosen answer: This is mentioned in a mistake for the film. It is in fact Nightcrawler himself just before he steps forward, appearing to have just teleported into the cell. For some unknown reason, the editors used this shot before he was to have teleported.

Jason Hoffman

Question: Where did Colossus and the other students go after they escaped from the school?

Chosen answer: It's never shown in the movie. We only know they escape through the hidden tunnels. Since the students obviously knew about the tunnels, there was likely a predetermined location for them to meet at in an emergency.

Jason Hoffman

Question: I've never understood how, in the comics, Rogue kept the powers she "absorbed" from Ms. Marvel, yet with any other mutant/human she absorbs, the effect is only temporary (as in the films). Can anyone explain this to me?

Chosen answer: The effect of her powers depends on how long she holds onto that individual for - usually she lets go quickly, so absorbs their powers and memories for only a short period of time. With Ms Marvel, Rogue had to hold on for much longer, as Marvel continued to struggle, ultimately resulting in the permanent transfer.

Tailkinker

Question: This may seem morbid, but does anyone know how Kurt put those scars on himself?

Chosen answer: Since he is a demon and does have sharp nails he could have easily done it to himself. I would think that he would have used his tail to do the ones that are located on his back and so forth. But to me his scars resemble that of a burn scar as if untreated it will "bubble" slightly if the burn is bad enough. Say for instance a cow being branded!

Rollin Garcia Jr

Question: How did the X-Men get into the Oval Office at the end of the movie?

Chosen answer: Xavier just mentally froze everyone in the building, including the President, then Kurt teleported them in. He then released the President for the length of their conversation, then immobilised him again until after Kurt got them safely out of the building.

Tailkinker

Question: What is Mystique's real name? I've heard it before but I can't remember what it is.

Chosen answer: Mystique's original name was Raven Darkholme, but she also spent many years masquerading as Mallory Brickman.

Myridon

Question: I understand that Jean Grey perishing to turn into Phoenix was part of the storyline, but there had to be another way to stop the oncoming water. Couldn't Bobby (Iceman) have tried to freeze the water? Or maybe that and a combination of Storm turning the weather very, very cold would've turned it into ice?

Chosen answer: As mentioned elsewhere, Iceman is still in training and doesn't have enough control over his powers to turn the entire flood of water into motionless ice within the short time frame. Storm might have been able to lower the temperature, but dropping it enough to instantly freeze such a volume of water probably would have killed them all (we know from Cerebro 2 that she can't insulate people from the effects of her powers). It's just too much water too fast for these to be possible.

Phoenix

Question: Why didn't wolverine simply retract his claws when the cops showed up at the front of bobby's house? Might have saved him from being shot.

Gavin Jackson

Chosen answer: They're ordering him to drop them, to put them somewhere where he doesn't have access to them. Obviously he can't do that, however, retracting them isn't going to satisfy them - indeed, if he suddenly retracted them, the shock might actually prompt them to shoot. His best bet is to keep them in view, but make it plain that he's not taking any hostile action with them. Unfortunately, it doesn't work.

Tailkinker

Question: How do the police officers survive the blast that Pyro, sends knocking them off of the porch? They would have extensive burns to their entire body if this were to really happen and not just look like they were rolling around in dirt.

Rollin Garcia Jr

Chosen answer: Pyro probably didn't want to hurt them, just scare them. Pyro controls fire, remember? That's how they didn't get burned by the blasts.

Mortug

Question: At one point in the movie, Rogue flies the X-Jet. I noticed that this appears to put her in a state of heightened emotion, just like when she is draining a person's energy, and she has to be pulled off the controls almost like she is unable to let go. Is this a clue to how she gains her flying ability in the context of the movies? I see similarities between this the comic where she permanently gained the ability to fly from another mutant when, for some reason, she was unable to let go of them whilst draining their power.

Chosen answer: Rogue doesn't know how to fly the jet. She's screaming because it is out of control and she is frightened by the spinning, which is forcing her body to one side. She can't let go because to do so would release the jet from any control whatsoever, a conscious choice not related to her powers. Rogue can't draw energy from things that aren't alive.

Phoenix

Question: Does anyone know if Gambit (had a stick and threw playing cards) will be introduced in the new X-men film and can anyone explain why he hasn't been introduced yet? I always remember he was a major character in the cartoon.

Lummie

Chosen answer: Rumor has it he will be in the third film. Nothing definite yet. There is no reason he hasn't been introduced yet. Why hasn't Archangel, Beast, Bishop or Forge been introduced? Why not the Sentinels? Why is Rogue starting out as a good guy? The movies will not exactly follow the comics or cartoon.

Grumpy Scot

Question: In the scene where iceman makes an ice wall between wolverine and stryker i don't understand why he doesn't claw through it.

Chosen answer: Bobby could just reform the wall behind his slashes - it wouldn't do any good.

Tailkinker

Question: When Nightcrawler falls from the roof of the church and Jean "catches" him telepathically, why can't he teleport away from her? Can Jean's telepathic powers inhibit his natural mutant abilities?

Chosen answer: Two reasons for this. Firstly, you are quite correct. Jean Grey can inhibit his natural mutant abilities, as we see at the end of the film when Nightcrawler is trying to save her from the water, but she keeps stopping him. Secondly, Nightcrawler probably didn't want to escape. He was set up to attack the president and most likely wanted to turn himself in.

Gavin Jackson

Question: When Storm is talking to Nightcrawler about his scar art, and the conversation is led up to anger, why did she walk out of the room just after he asked her how she could be so angry and beautiful at the same time? Did she have to do something, or was she just leaving for the sake of leaving? (Although if a guy told me I was beautiful, I would stay around...).

Chosen answer: Well, I don't know what version of the film you're watching, but, in my one, she doesn't walk out - there's a couple more lines of dialogue (about anger helping you survive and about faith). Jean then calls Storm, telling her that she's picked up a comm beacon, and only then does Storm leave - which is to be expected, as she's heading back to the controls.

Tailkinker

Question: Hey, what do we know about Nightcrawler's past? I know he can't remember the whole Stryker experience, but before that? Like, when he was in Germany?

Chosen answer: From the movie, very little, other than the circus references. From the comics, quite a bit. Kurt's actually Mystique's son, his father, according to a recent storyline, being some sort of demon-like mutant who dated back to biblical times. Abandoned by Mystique at birth, when she was chased by a mob, the baby Nightcrawler instinctively used his teleporting to escape. He was taken in by a gypsy witch, who raised him as her own son. She ran a travelling carnival, in which Kurt appeared - an obvious parallel to the circus mentioned in the films. Ultimately, Kurt decided to strike out on his own - a decision that ended with Charles Xavier having to rescue him from a mob and recruit him into the X-Men.

Tailkinker

Question: How come Bobby wasn't hurt when Rogue kissed him?

Chosen answer: Rogue is developing some elementary control over her power, but it's not completely effective by any means and is still strongly tied to strong emotional states. So she can hold off for a little bit on the first kiss, but later (with more intense emotion) she starts to drain him.

Phoenix

Question: What's the extent of 'Blink's' powers? I know he/she(comic) never sleeps so he doesn't get knocked out by the 'tranquilizer' but what else can he do?

Chosen answer: There's nothing to link the character seen in the film to Blink the comic character - the fact that he's seen using his powers by blinking is tenuous to say the least, particularly as the comic Blink doesn't do that. Blink the comic character has the ability to open teleport gates, and seems to able to use those gates to physically disrupt solid objects. She has lilac coloured skin and does sleep. The character seen in the film bears no resemblance to any X-man seen in the comics - he appears to be entirely an invention of the film makers.

Tailkinker

Question: Relating to the question about Apocalypse, what were his/her powers?

Chosen answer: According to UncannyXmen.net, Apocalypse's powers are metahuman strength, speed, endurance, and reflexes, megamorphic power which allows him to assume any human form, grow to tremendous size, or reshape his body composition at will, the ability to discharge concussive plasma blasts, teleportation, and the ability to absorb outside sources of power to increase his own abilites.

Xofer

Question: I am confused as to the time difference between X-Men and X2. I heard it is 3 weeks and it was 3 years. Some say its 3 years because of Cyclops' new car, but then I realize that it doesn't take Logan 3 years to reach Alkali Lake. So, what is the time difference?

Chosen answer: 3 weeks would be more than enough time to get to Canada and back. Further, we never know for sure if Cyclops had 2 or more cars to start with. Also, as Rogue is only 17-18, she would have changed dramatically in 3 years. 3 weeks, or a similar relatively short period of time, is far more likely.

Grumpy Scot

Question: At the end when Jean is holding the water back and controlling the x-jet, the power comes back on and the x-men escape leaving Jean to die, but could she do the same if she was in the x-jet? It could have saved her life.

Chosen answer: She could have, but she had to die to come back as the Phoenix/Dark Phoenix in X3. Plot trapdoor.

Grumpy Scot

Question: Why did they use some different actors in this film? Both Pyro and Shadowcat are completely different, both are very noticeable in X1, Pyro is blonde and Shadowcat is a red-head.

Chosen answer: In the first there roles were small, so they likely just cast the people who would take the part for the lowest salary. In the second, they needed people who could actually act.

Question: Does anyone know through the comics or wherever, who the first mutants were?

Chosen answer: Professor X, Cyclops, Beast, Iceman, Angel, and Jean Grey. They were the orginial X-men. If you mean the first mutant, then that would be Apocalypse.

Piemanmoo

Question: Does Rogue have a crush on Logan because Bobby seems awfully jealous at times?

Chosen answer: She certainly feels close to him, because he looked after her during the events of the first film. It never really comes across as a full-blown crush - Rogue's old enough to know better - but it's enough to worry Bobby. Given that there's only supposed to be about a month between the two films, Bobby and Rogue's relationship is in the very early stages, so it's quite normal to worry about such things.

Tailkinker

Question: Is a third X-men already being/been made? When will it be released?

Amie

Chosen answer: It's in the pipeline. The script is being worked on, Bryan Singer is expected to direct again, and a number of the cast have the third film included in their contracts. Expect it in 2006.

Tailkinker

Question: During the invasion of the mansion, the soldiers were wearing a device over their left eye. What is the purpose of that device? It certainly is not a night vision device since they were using flashlights.

Chosen answer: It could be a infra-red goggle, to see through walls, although it could be night vision as it can still improve upon using a torch alone.

David Mercier

Question: After Nightcrawler saves Rogue, there is a scene in the forest where she comes up and says "Thank you." He responds in German - according to AltaVista's BabelFish he says: "Ask Beautiful" but that doesn't make sense. Does anyone know what he really says?

Asdfaeou

Chosen answer: "Bitte Schon". When someone says "Danke", it is polite to reply "Bitte" (ie. 'you're welcome'). Similarly "Danke Schon" ('thank you very much') is replied to with "Bitte Schon". Translated literally the words mean 'please beautifully' but the phrase means 'you're welcome'.

jle

Question: Who is the kid in the mansion changing the channels by blinking? I recognized most of the "background" mutants (Siren, Jubilee, Artie, etc.) but this one's eluding me.

Xofer

Chosen answer: In the comic book there was a mutant with the same powers called 'Blink' but blink was a girl, so i guess they just gave the kid some random ability from the comics.

Question: At the very end when we see Alkali Lake, we see a phoenix shape underwater, referencing Jean Grey's ascension into the form of the Phoenix. Is this symbolic or has this really happened to her?

Chosen answer: This really happened to her. In the comics, the Phoenix Force that took over her body was an alien, which became so consumed with power that she became Dark Phoenix, and was killed; I don't know how they'll do this in the movie.

Xofer

Question: Why was there adamantium in Nightcrawler's flashback? We saw a needle too, implying he was being injected. Does this fit with any comic/movie interpretation?

Piemanmoo

Chosen answer: The needle in the flashback relates to the drug that Stryker placed on the back of his neck so that he could control him. The adamantium in the flashback is most likely because the flashback relates to events at Alkali Lake.

Question: When Bobby's brother calls the police, he has some news thing on the computer. What was on it?

Piemanmoo

Chosen answer: It was a news story about the mutant attack.

Sol Parker

Question: What is the the book "the once and future king" about?

Chosen answer: "The Once and Future King" is a tale of King Arthur.

Timothy Cheseborough

Question: Does anyone out there speak German? What does Nightcrawler say in the cathedral when he's 'porting around the rafters?

jle

Chosen answer: Ich bin der Bote des Teufels. Die Ausgeburt des Boesen. Ich bin ein damon. I am the messenger of the devil. The spawn of evil. I am a demon.

In the end, when the President is visited by the X-Men, he receives a blue binder, which is laid in front of him on the table. When they have left, you see a shot including the President's desk, and you can see that the only thing he has on the table are some sheets of paper, stapled in the upper left corner, opened up. Then the shot changes to a close-up of the President, and then back again, and you see the blue binder in front of him, closed, and the papers have disappeared.
