Continuity mistake: When Friend and Secret Bear meet Kim and Jason in the park, everybody is shown standing on a trail. But as Friend Bear begins to talk with the kids about hopes and dreams, she proceeds down the trail to catch up with them and, in the next shot, is seen walking on grass instead. (00:06:00)
Continuity mistake: While Kim and Jason are playing leap frog with the Care Bears, Wish Bear appears on top of a rainbow shouting about some great news. Notice how she's carrying a star-o-scope and the objective lens is that of a red star. Moments later when Wish Bear is on the clouds beside the rainbow, her scope only has a small red heart for a lens. (00:20:40)
Continuity mistake: As the Care Bears and Cousins are lined up outside of the castle to confront Nicholas, Good Luck Bear and Grumpy Bear transport themselves from Care-a-Lot with the newly repaired rainbow rescue beam. In this shot, notice how Good Luck and Grumpy are sporting raincoats which lack any pockets. But a few minutes later when everyone is celebrating the evil spirit's defeat, a pair of pockets has suddenly appeared on each raincoat. (01:01:45 - 01:04:55)
Continuity mistake: During "Home Is In Your Heart," Friend Bear is watering the clouds to make a rainbow grow. On her right side is a bird. But when the rainbow appears a second later, the bird has vanished. (00:29:40)
Continuity mistake: After Fetuccini rises from a sleeping spell, he steps out of the trailer and places his right arm around Nicholas to explain a wonderful dream. But as they walk away to look at the painting, the shot changes and Nicholas is now on Fetuccini's left side. (01:05:40)
Continuity mistake: When Nicholas is walking around to gather ingredients for his final spell, the first things he must locate are apple cores (three to be exact). On the side of Fetuccini's trailer he spots one core stuck to the painting, but this is where he says "Three apple cores. Just what I need!" Nicholas grabs only one core, never finding two additional ones. Meanwhile he notices a spider web hanging beneath the trailer. But as he reaches out to take it, the apple core instantly disappears from his right hand. (00:52:45)
Continuity mistake: Upon first view of Nicholas' castle, notice how the doorway has a round arch. But towards the end - when Nicholas is seeking out Kim and Jason after casting his final spell - the doorway now has a completely different arch (somewhat like a Tudor Arch) at this point. Continuity mistake: While Friend Bear, Secret Bear, Kim and Jason are being transported down to Earth via rainbow rescue beam, a cloud quake strikes and devastates the Hall of Hearts. Everyone has hit the floor by the time it subsides. But watch as the shot changes to Tenderheart lifting himself up: notice how debris has suddenly appeared all over the place from nowhere. Continuity mistake: When Nicholas casts his very first evil spell inside the tent, a girl and boy are in the front row enjoying some popcorn in a cup. But as the lightning flashes, notice how the cup briefly shifts from the girl's right hand to the boy's left hand within the same shot. (00:19:45)
Continuity mistake: After Cozy Heart Penguin jumps on board with the Care Bears, a whirlpool begins to swerve the cloud clipper and Tenderheart's steering wheel begins to spin out of control. Initially the wheel has eight handles, but look closely once it stops: now only six handles are there. (00:36:50)
Continuity mistake: When Nicholas accidentally drops his shoe into the cauldron, an explosion causes him to jump back. At this moment, look quickly at the podium nearby. Notice how the evil spirit's face is temporarily missing from the book. (00:59:50)
Continuity mistake: During "Nobody Cares Like a Bear," Secret Bear tries (unsuccessfully) to open the door with his cane. He then tucks it beneath his arm and tries again. Once several Care Bears line up to help, the door finally opens...but now the cane has vanished. (00:13:15)
Continuity mistake: When Fetuccini's house of cards topples, not a single one hits the floor. But when Tenderheart walks over to see what's going on with Nicholas, he passes the desk where several cards from the house are now laying on the floor. (00:07:30)
Continuity mistake: When the cloud clipper first appears from beneath Care-a-Lot's river, notice how there's a star-o-scope on the bow. Moments later, Wish Bear steps up to the bow...but the star-o-scope has disappeared. (00:26:25)
Continuity mistake: When the rainbow rescue beam platform is visible for the first time, it has a solid pink color. But throughout the movie, its color alternates from pink to red with pink sides. (00:09:35 - 00:13:30)
Continuity mistake: When Tenderheart grabs Kim's hand to lead the way towards the rainbow rescue beam, a small red heart is visible on both of his sides. These hearts, however, are only supposed to appear on a Care Bear's right side. (00:23:40)
Continuity mistake: Following a cloud quake that interrupts the rainbow rescue beam's transmission, Tenderheart pulls himself up from the floor. Here we can see Wish Bear in the background. After Grumpy Bear says "They never made it to Earth!", Cheer Bear appears in Wish's place. (00:24:45)
Continuity mistake: When Tenderheart is navigating the cloud clipper, Lotsa Heart warns of a cave nearby. As they make way through the opening and slow to a crawl, nobody is anywhere near the helm. (00:42:55)
Continuity mistake: As Fetuccini is standing near the door possessed by a sleeping spell, Tenderheart enters the room and speaks to Nicholas. In the background, Fetuccini's feet are spread a couple of feet apart. But after Nicholas turns around to ask "Who are you?", the feet have instantly moved within inches of each other. (00:17:35)
Continuity mistake: When Baby Tugs activates the rainbow rescue beam, all of the different buttons start flashing. The next shots bring a heart-shaped structure into view and at this point, the buttons briefly stop flashing; but they resume as soon as Grumpy intervenes to shut down the beam. (00:11:15)
