Friday the 13th Part 3: 3D

Continuity mistake: After Edna yells through the window at Harold for knocking down the clothesline pole, she slams the window shut and the end of the curtain gets trapped under the window. Then the scene cuts to show Edna from the inside, and look at the curtains from this shot. They are now hanging straight down, just like it should be and aren't trapped. (00:08:10)

Continuity mistake: When Edna keeps looking out the window, to see Jason take the clothes from her clothes line, the curtains keep changing position, and from shots outside the left curtain isn't visible but from inside, it covers a portion of the window. (00:09:05)

Continuity mistake: When Harold feeds the fish, in wideshots there is a note next to the fishbowl which reads "Say Hi to..." However in the closeups of the fishbowl, the note has gone, and should be visible. (00:10:20)

Continuity mistake: Between shots, as Harold spit's the fish food out, the position of the figurine fisherman's wooden rod changes. (00:10:50)

Continuity mistake: When Harold finds the rabbit in his store, it is in a crate of vegetables. Between shots, the vegetables which are in all of the crates change; for example some of the broccoli stems turn into lettuces in the next shot. (00:10:55)

Continuity mistake: Harold puts the fishfood bottle down on the counter with no lid on it. However when he's eating the doughnut you can see the fishfood bottle is now on the till, with it's lid on. (00:10:55 - 00:11:40)

Continuity mistake: When Harold is at the toilet you can see a shelf behind him with a fire extinguisher and a piece of cloth on it. Also the shelf is by his waist level. A moment later the extinguisher has changed, the piece of cloth is gone, the shelf is by his shoulder level and a clock has suddenly appeared on the wall. It is obvious this is a change of stage scenery. (00:13:15)

Continuity mistake: When Harold is on the toilet, the toilet roll sits on the centre of the shelf behind him. Moments later when he looking around, it is right by the edge of the shelf. (00:13:25)

Continuity mistake: When Harold is stabbed with the butchers knife, blood runs all down his shirt. Then when it cuts to a closer view, blood is just around the knife. (00:14:40)

Continuity mistake: At the start in the van, the girl you see smoking dope hands over her cigarette to the other kid. She uses her index finger and her thumb with the cigarette facing downwards, but in the next shot she has got it between her index finger and middle finger and it is facing upwards. (00:18:35)

Continuity mistake: When the kids stop for the police cars who rush by we get to look out the back window of the car. You can see a car and a road sign there. These two wasn't there when they pulled over. (00:19:20)

Continuity mistake: Right before Chris stops the van to avoid hitting Abel you can see that none of the others are in the back of the van. (00:20:25)

Continuity mistake: When the kids get out of the van and run over to Abel, who is laying in the road, you can see Chuck and Andy standing next to see other (you can see their legs.) In the very next shot, Vera is standing in between them. (00:20:30)

Continuity mistake: When they arrive at the lake and get out of the van, the long shot from the passengers' side shows Chris getting out and slamming her door, but then the next shot from the driver's side shows her getting out and slamming the door again. (00:21:55)

Continuity mistake: When Chris first enters the cabin and talks with Rick, and also in later scenes throughout the movie, the hat hanging on the pegboard beside the cabin door changes position a few times between shots. (00:22:20)

Continuity mistake: When the camera pans past the window, to the door, showing Chris walking up to the cabin, there is no painting hanging next to the door. When she gets in and talks with Rick, there is a long painting hanging to the right of the door. (00:22:25)

Continuity mistake: When Chris enters the cabin, Rick grabs her, and the cabin door swings to an angle so it's half shut. In the next shot of Rick it's open wide. (00:22:45)

Continuity mistake: When Chris pushes the crooked painting straight, there is a lamp in front of it. In the next shot the lamp is to the left of it. (00:23:15)

Continuity mistake: When Chris shows Debbie the hammock, she removes a board and lowers her arm. When it cuts her arm is back up on the board. (00:24:55)

Plot hole: We see Jason get his outfit from Harold's clothes line. Yet in Chris's flashback Jason has these same clothes already on.

Suggested correction: I went and looked at both Chris version of Jason and Jason in the recent Part III. The Part III Jason outfit in Chris version has a lot darker clothes. Same style, just darker. That type of clothing is very similar though.

Question: Can you still get this film in 3D? I heard that it's only in 2D now, but does anyone actually know if there's a DVD that has it in 3D?

Chosen answer: It's was finally released in 3D on DVD in 2009.

Answer: Friday the 13th Part III in 3D is also available on Blu-ray as part of a set of all the films from 1980 to the reboot. I know because I own it. There are two pairs of 3D glasses included in the tin.
