Factual error: The aboriginal boy gets upset about the white hunters shooting the water buffaloes which symbolises white man encroaching into aboriginal culture. But the water buffaloes are introduced pests in Australia and have no spiritual meaning to the aboriginals.

Plot hole: It doesn't make sense that Mary is English with a heavy English accent, while both her brother and father are obviously 'Aussies'. Even if she was adopted to an Australian family, she wouldn't claim to be English, she would be a naturalised Australian.

Visible crew/equipment: When the aboriginal tribe were gathering around the burnt out VW, in one shot, you can see a white man in the background with dark body paint to make him appear to be an aboriginal.

The Girl: We're going on our own tomorrow.
White Boy: Why?
The Girl: That's best.
White Boy: No.
The Girl: Suppose he wanted to do something? Or, something happens? Suppose he - tried to - suppose he went off and left us?
White Boy: No he won't! He likes being with us.
