Blade Runner mistake picture

Continuity mistake: Deckard shoots Zhora twice. Both times she is shot, you can see the wound explode out of her right shoulder. But moments later when she is on the ground dead, she is face down and you can see a bullet wound on both right and left shoulders. (00:58:50)

Continuity mistake: The original scene where Leon is being interrogated is different to the recording of the scene that Deckard watches as he is driving. Even what Leon says is different, in the original scene I think he says "Let me tell you about my mother" but in the recorded playback he says "I'll tell you about my mother", and the line is delivered differently.

Continuity mistake: When Decker shoots the snake-woman replicant, she hits the glass and in one shot you can clearly see that is not the actress that hits the glass, but a stuntperson dressed like her. This has been corrected in the 2007 Final Cut of the film, but exists in all previous versions. (00:57:50)

Continuity mistake: When Deckard shoots the snake-woman in the back and she falls through several layers of glass she lands on her stomach, with her head lying on the left side. In the next scene Deckard is standing beside her, but now she has turned her head, lying on the other cheek. Her arms also change position. (00:58:30)

Continuity mistake: When Deckard makes a hardcopy of the picture on the screen, it doesn't match the screen picture. The screen shot is a profile of Zhora; the hardcopy is a frontal view. (00:46:00)

Continuity mistake: When Leon goes to sit down for his test, he appears to be wearing a name tag that is attached to the left breast of his outfit. Once he sits down, you only see the printing on the shirt. (00:05:00)

Lynette Carrington

Continuity mistake: The dialogue between Holden and Leon in the beginning never matches the interrogation tapes during the films (excluding Deckard's recall a moment before he confronts Pris). Most notable are the time and speaking manner. It can be heard when Deckard and Bryant listen to the tape. (00:05:35 - 00:13:35)

Continuity mistake: After he finds dead Pris, the blood smears on Roy Batty's lips change. He touches her bloody wound with the fingertips of his right hand and then presses them to his upper lip. You will see two parallel smears of blood. Moments later there is only one smear going from his upper lip all the way to his chin. (01:37:20)

Continuity mistake: When Deckard shoots Zhora, she crashes down through a glass wall and her cape is rolled over her head; in the next shot, In which she's crawling on the floor, her cape is straight behind her back. (00:58:00)

Continuity mistake: When we first see Deckard he is sitting down and reading a newspaper. After a little bit of time a seat becomes available at the restaurant across the way. The cook calls him over. Deckard then folds the newspaper once and places it over his head to shield himself from the rain. We see him run across the thoroughfare and off camera. It then cuts to him making his last couple steps to the waiting seat and the newspaper is now folded twice. (00:09:00)

Continuity mistake: Just after Rachel asks Deckard if he ever took the VK test himself, she walks in after no response and sees that he has fallen asleep. Before the camera shows him sleeping, she is shown walking into the room, clutching a drinking glass with both hands in front of her. The camera switches to Deckard for a couple seconds, then back to Rachel. She is standing in the same spot, with no immediate area to set the glass down at, but her pose has completely changes where she has one hand on one hip, and the other arm limp at her side. At which point she then reaches forward with her left hand to grab a picture off the piano, and the drinking glass has vanished. (01:07:50)

Continuity mistake: As Deckard steps off the trolley when he is chasing down Zhora, a guy with weird sunglasses having flashing lights all over it bumps into him. The next shot is from a different angle, and that guy has vanished. (00:57:05)

Continuity mistake: After Pris and J.F. Sebastian startle each other, they begin to talk for a moment. Watch J.F.'s hands as he says "Don't worry, I won't hurt ya." In the side angle, his left hand is hidden and his right hand is fidgeting with the bag he is holding at his chest. It then cuts to a view from over Pris' shoulder and suddenly his right hand is now hidden from view and it's his left hand fidgeting. (00:39:00)

Continuity mistake: After Leon puts his hand in the freezing liquid holding the eyes, warranting several angered scolds from Chew, Chew looks at Roy in puzzlement. Between this shot and the shot after Roy says "Yes... Questions." The head gear on Chew's head moves up on his hat. The position of it changes several times during this scene. (00:28:40)

Continuity mistake: After Gaf takes Deckard to his police car to go see Captain Bryant, he looks at a screen that is blue, then turns red and says PURGE. He looks down and to his right when he sees this. Moments later as they are flying in the vehicle, a view from the back seat shows the front dash with two screens. The one in the center, which would have been the one he was looking at since he was looking down to the right, is now much skinnier than it was moments before. It's the one showing green and orange text now. (00:10:25 - 00:11:10)

Continuity mistake: When about to question Leon, Holden asks him "Please don't move." When he does, his right arm is up and he points at Leon for a moment. It then cuts to a close up of the VK and suddenly his right arm is down in front working on the VK. The folding black flap things on the VK are also suddenly up and moving where they were not in the previous shot. (00:05:20)

Continuity mistake: The scene where Roy saves Deckard's life and then dies takes place on a very dark and rainy night. After Roy says his final line, "time to die", the white dove in his hand gets loose and flies away. The next shot shows the bird flying in a totally clear cloudless sky, with lighting that suggests that it is becoming morning. The next shot is of Deckard, back in the heavy rain and total darkness. (01:47:20)

Bruce Trestrail

Audio problem: Deckard investigates the maker of artificial reptiles; an Abdul somebody. It's obvious that the dialogue was added as neither actor is in sync with the sound. The end of the scene has the storekeeper's voice telling Deckard the information he was seeking while Deckard's mouth is the one moving. Deckard's mouth continues to move even after Abdul's lines are finished and the scene cuts. This has been corrected in the 2007 Final Cut of the film, but exists in all previous versions. (00:48:45)

Deckard: I don't know why he saved my life. Maybe in those last moments he loved life more than he ever had before. Not just his life, anybody's life, my life. All he'd wanted were the same answers the rest of us want. Where did I come from? Where am I going? How long have I got? All I could do was sit there and watch him die.

Question: When Roy confronts Tyrell, he says something that I'm having difficulty figuring out. The captions read that he is saying "I want more life... father!" But to me, and I've listened to that part over and over trying to figure it out, it sounds like he is saying "I want more life... fucker!" So is he saying Father, or Fucker?

Quantom X

Chosen answer: It's a more complicated question than you might think. Two versions of the scene were filmed, the main one, where Roy says "fucker" and an alternate, originally intended for use on television, where he says "father." Different versions of the movie use different takes. Of the three best known variants, the original theatrical release and the inaccurately-named Director's Cut both use the "fucker" line, whereas the Final Cut, the only one that Ridley Scott had full control over, uses the "father" line. What he's saying will depend on which version of the movie you were watching. Only you can answer that one.
