Factual error: When the Betty Doll takes off, there is a rapid fire selection of different shots of how the craze is impacting the nation. During the baseball scene, the shot starts with a L.A. Dodger (Eric Karros) hitting a pitch from a New York Mets pitcher (appears to be John Franco). The shot changes to that of the baseball going into the stands... in Wrigley Field, home of the Chicago Cubs.

Continuity mistake: During the pep rally routine during the first stunt there are 5 guys holding the five girls up, one for each girl. But during the second stunt there are two girls in two different lifts with three guys to each girl. If in the first stunt there was only 5 guys, where did the 6th one come from?

Factual error: When the girls are using the ultrasound scan, no-one seems to put any gel on the area to be scanned - you won't get a clear scan without it.

Continuity mistake: At the end of the movie, when Lisa gets into her car, her hair is longer and darker than it is when she's telling the story to the police officers. This shouldn't be as it is the same day.

Continuity mistake: When Diane and the girls are having their weekly sleepover at Diane's flat, they are watching point break. Diane is laid on the couch. When she begins to talk about the robbery, Diane has her legs down over the couch. It cuts to her a second later and she has her legs up, then it cuts back and they are down again. This happens over a period of about 15 seconds.

Revealing mistake: When Diane and Jack are coming back from the store to get groceries, Diane throws a piece of paper out of the car and you see it fall straight down. If they were actually driving it would have flown backwards.

Continuity mistake: When Diane and Lisa and the rest of them are sitting on the stage while the butch girl is giving her homecoming speech, the camera cuts to Lisa and you can see the shirt of the butch girl sitting next to her. Then the camera cuts back and the girl is standing in the center of the stage.

Continuity mistake: The first time Diane tells herself that these are the best days of her life, when the mirror is steamy, from different shots of the mirror the steam is in different places. During the close-up it is clear only in the middle, in the further away shot it is clear on the top and middle, and only clear in the middle in the next close-up.

Diane: If the O.J. trial taught us anything, it taught us that, in America, you can cut somebody's head off and still be innocent as long as you have enough money. Well Kansas your mom only shoot a guy.
