Factual error: In the lunch scene outside their office, Larry and Richard are at the food stand and notice Bernie walking into a building. The entrance awning reads "East 70th Street". As they walk away the street sign behind them reads "52nd Street". Apparently they must have superhuman vision which allows them to see 18 blocks away.
Continuity mistake: Right before Richard discovers that Bernie is dead and Larry is talking about drugs becoming a career, "I watch the news. I read." There is a side/back view of Larry talking and neither his gestures or his mouth line up with what he is saying.
Larry Wilson: "A little brown-nosing, a little ass-kissing, work our way up that corporate ladder?" WHY can't you be a lazy shit like I am?
Trivia: Bernie's two story house was built specifically for this movie at a state park in North Carolina, but was torn down right after filming, as per the agreement before filming.
Question: Wouldn't it be against regulation for a house, especially of that size, to be built on a section of the beach that the tide would eventually come up to? A sturdy foundation is absolutely of the question with there being nothing but sand to build it on. When the tide came up to pull Bernie into the water, it definitely would've made contact with the house.
