A View to a Kill

Factual error: There are no oil wells or oil fields anywhere in the Bay Area (Unlike Los Angeles, where there are oil wells everywhere).

Visible crew/equipment: When Bond reaches the top of the stairs after sneaking into Stacey's mansion, you can see a boom mic in the mirror behind him.

Factual error: When Bond crashes the snowmobile he ends up in a ditch to escape - he uses the front ski, but when he knocks the two soldiers over he is skiing uphill - no way to manage this from a standing start in a ditch.

Continuity mistake: After Bond and Stacey escape the fire at San Francisco City Hall, Bond is confronted by a police chief and he sprays him with water from the fire truck, but when the chief is in his car pursuing Bond through San Francisco, he appears completely dry.

Continuity mistake: When Bond grabs Stacey after the Zorin Airship blows up, you can see the fireaxe resting between them. The camera shot changes to one above them and the fireaxe has now gone.

GalahadFairlight

Continuity mistake: When the Rolls sinks its back end is pointing upwards; the front end going down in a steep angle. But when Bond is getting out of it and gets air from the tires it is upside down. And the surface is not far away. It is impossible that it could have turned over.

Jacob La Cour

Plot hole: After sneaking into Zorin's secret laboratory, why did Bond and Tibbett decide to spend another day there? They would have known that the two guards they fought would inform Zorin they were spies and blow their cover. Besides, they already knew how Zorin was winning the races, so staying another day was just suicide.

Gavin Jackson

Factual error: Zorin throws a 2 liter bottle of gasoline on the elevator in which Bond and Stacy are trapped. The fire from gasoline is nowhere near hot enough to melt a steel elevator cable.

Jacob La Cour

Revealing mistake: After Mayday drops the recalcitrant businessman out of the zeppelin, there's a long shot of him falling into the water far below. An obvious dummy, his legs are flailing much too limply (and in too many directions) to be human.

Audio problem: Scarpine's comment about Bond hanging from the mooring line doesn't match his lip movement.

Continuity mistake: During the fire-truck chase-scene the pursuing police cars are shown to be a pair of Dodge Monacos, but during subsequent shots one of them changes into a smaller Plymouth Fury. The cars are not very similar to each other and vastly different in size.

Audio problem: When Bond is knocked unconscious into the back of the Rolls Royce, everyone gathered around moves away. Listen carefully and you can distinctly hear a technician/assistant say, 'Mind that door.' It cannot be dialogue from the film due to the way it is said. (00:50:05)

Continuity mistake: When Bond enters the turbine, there is a dead crab on the grate. But when he leaves the turbine, the crab has disappeared.

Continuity mistake: When the police officer is trying to arrest 007 in front of the fire truck, Bond is assuming the position, facing the truck, with both hands pressed against the side. Bond turns away from the truck, removing his hands from the side, but in the next shot, when the camera zooms into Stacey, his hands leave the truck again.

Continuity mistake: Bond's air tank is perforated on the middle after he has thrown it into the propeller blade. But it would have been hit in the end, not in the middle, after being pushed into a fast spinning blade.

Jacob La Cour

Continuity mistake: When the Rolls Royce sinks it is a lot further away from Zorin and May than when Bond looks out of the water while he is getting air from the tyres. (00:51:40)

Revealing mistake: When Bond jumps on top of the elevator in the Eiffel Tower you can see briefly that it is not Roger Moore but his stunt double. (00:18:35)

Tobin OReilly

Factual error: Bond and Stacy jump across the 3rd street bridge in the firetruck in the dead of night. When they arrive at Main Strike Mine it is as if they have been driving for a long time. However it is clear that they are close to town - and San Andreas Lake is only 12 miles south of the 3rd street bridge.

Jacob La Cour

Revealing mistake: When Zorin falls off the Golden Gate bridge, you can see in the long shot it's just a dummy.

Continuity mistake: If a diving tank were perforated under water there would be a big 'explosion' from the release of compressed air. No such thing happens when Bond throws his tank into the propeller blade.

Jacob La Cour

Max Zorin: This will hurt him more than me.

Trivia: The disclaimer, "Neither the name Zorin nor any other name or character in this film is meant to portray a real company or actual person" was added after the producers discovered a real company known as Zoran Ladicorbic Ltd, whose industry was fashion design. This is the first Bond film to begin with a disclaimer.
