Continuity mistake: Whilst in Hong Kong, when the two brothers from Turkistan are talking. The handler holds a tablet between his arms over his belly, next shot the tablet is in his right hand screen outwards, third shot (twice) he has no tablet, fourth shot the tables is again in his has but screen turned inwards, and finally fifth shot again has tablet in right arm screen outwards. (01:03:28 - 01:04:50)
Other mistake: Near the end of the movie, the bad guy's yacht is tied up to a pier. Conveniently, the anchor is also deployed (why?) giving one of our heroes an opportunity to climb aboard via the chain.
Continuity mistake: In the beginning car chase there are several scenes where there is a sunroof above Ryan Reynolds' head. The Alfa Romeo Quadrafolio does not have a sunroof option. Multiple exterior shots of the car show there is indeed no sunroof. However, when they cut back to the interior, there is one.
Continuity mistake: During the jewellery heist in Four's backstory, when he meets One, director Michael Bay splices in a few seconds of footage from a completely different film (and not his own). Despite supposedly being set somewhere in Europe, at one point in the escape sequence, the thieves are jumping between tower blocks in Hong Kong (and in completely different clothing). This is actually footage from Roof Culture Asia - a feature film by the parkour stunt team involved in the film (Storror).
Continuity mistake: Ben Hardy is miraculously dry when scaling the Hong Kong skyscraper, shortly after nearly drowning in the penthouse swimming pool.
Visible crew/equipment: During the rooftop battle, the camera pans left across a bad guy and onto a reflection of two crewmembers in silhouette in the colorful background. Looks like possibly Michael Bay himself (baseball cap, hands clasped behind head). (01:15:23)
Other mistake: In China after the pool explodes, everyone is dry.
