Continuity mistake: After David has sent his daughter texts asking since when does she not text at school, it shows he's in a video conference with some other people split onto 3 screens on his computer. The image of his boss above and the image of the 3 people to the left of David's video never changes. However, upon cutting to closer or further angles of David's video, it frequently switches back and froth from a mirrored image or not. Despite there being no reason for it switching depending on the movie's camera. (00:15:40)

Trivia: The film is produced by Russian filmmaker Timur Bekmambetov, whom also produced the similarly-made "Unfriended." As a nod, the name "Laura Barnes" (the girl who becomes the evil spirit in "Unfriended") appears very briefly near the beginning of the film under the "trending" words during the first Facebook scene.
