Later it is revealed that doing this resulted in the logo being branded onto her skin. Continuity mistake: Just after Richard gets off the phone with Roberto, the back of his hair is sticking up. When the shot cuts, his hair is pressed down. This may be hard to see when the camera is in front of him, but it is more noticeable when he stands up and we see the back of his head. (01:30:05 - 01:30:45)
Continuity mistake: When Richard starts chasing Jen through the hallway after realising she noticed his trail of blood, there is a shot where we can see the shotgun wound on the left-hand side of Richard's stomach. A couple seconds later, the wound is now on the right side of his stomach. (01:39:27)
Continuity mistake: When Jen is watching Stan drive across the desert with the binoculars, the position of the strap attached to the binoculars changes between shots. (01:13:05)
Continuity mistake: When Richard drives away from Stan to search the mountains, the map that they were looking at is unfolded. Stan then picks up the map and it is folded. (01:11:55)
Continuity mistake: When Stan is holding onto his foot after slashing it with a shard of glass, there is one shot where his thumb is against the side of his foot, but in a close-up of the foot, his thumb is pressed directly on his foot. (01:21:00)
Continuity mistake: After discussing which areas of the desert they are going to search, the map on the hood of the SUV is still. Richard then walks over to his motorcycle, but when the shot cuts back to Stan, the map is suddenly blowing in the wind. (01:11:45)
Continuity mistake: After Jen has left the cave, there is a shot of the camera panning around her body, panning from her feet to her head. At the end of this shot, there is no hair over the front of her face. When the shot cuts, there are a few strands of hair over the front of her face. (01:09:10)
Continuity mistake: When Jen opens the locket to get the peyote, in the close-up shot of the locket opening, the peyote falls out while still holding onto the locket. In the next shot, she isn't holding onto the locket. (00:52:05)
Continuity mistake: When Stan gets out of the lake after finding Dimitri's body, his vest and trousers are drenched in water. In the next shot, when he is running back to the SUV, his clothes are significantly less wet. (01:00:05)
Revealing mistake: When Dimitri pushes Jen to the ground after she tries to shoot him, in the shot after she lands on the ground, a pair of trousers can be seen on her legs. Jen is not supposed to be wearing trousers in this scene, so these are presumably protective trousers used for the stunt. (00:44:35)
Continuity mistake: When Jen is pointing the shotgun at Dimitri, there is a light from the four-wheeler cast on her face. In the shot of her pulling the trigger, the lighting is relatively dim. The shot then cuts to Dimitri, back when it cuts back to Jen, the lighting is a lot brighter. (00:44:30)
Revealing mistake: When Jen gets out of the lake after Dimitri drives past in the four-wheeler, in the shot of her crawling onto the sand, there are markings on the ground that imply someone had already crawled there, presumably from previous takes. (00:43:05)
Revealing mistake: When Richard, Stan, and Dimitri are driving through the desert to follow Jen through the blood trail she left behind, tyre marks can be seen on the sand, presumably from previous takes. (00:38:50)
Continuity mistake: When Jen is impaled on the branch and is trying to light the tree on fire, a tear can be seen in her shirt, right next to her shoulder. There is one shot where the tear disappears before reappearing again in the following shot. (00:33:35)
Continuity mistake: When Richard is explaining the plan to Stan and Dimitri after pushing Jen off the cliff, whilst he says "Understood?" to Stan, a light breeze can be seen blowing Stan's shirt collar. When the shot cuts, the breeze is a lot heavier and Stan's shirt collar is moving a lot more. (00:28:23)
Continuity mistake: When Jen reaches the edge of the cliff after running away, there is a close-up shot of her face. There are strands of hair seen going over her face, but in another close-up from a different angle, those strands are no longer there and the wind appears to be blowing her hair in a different direction. Continuity mistake: After Stan wipes the last bit of suncream into Jen's lower back, Jen pulls out a chair so she can sit down. Her hand is away from her back when she does this, but then her hand is touching her lower back when the shot cuts. (00:14:44)
Continuity mistake: After Stan spins an apple, the scene cuts to Jen walking over to Richard outside. In the shot of Jen walking over, Stan is holding a pair of sunglasses so that the lenses are facing the camera. When the shot cuts to focus on Stan, the glasses are rotated 90 degrees. (00:08:53)
Continuity mistake: After watching Jen walk into the bedroom, Stan asks Richard if "Elizabeth and the kids are OK." Just after saying this, Stan rotates himself 90 degrees to the right and Dimitri rotates himself 90 degrees to the left, so that the two are facing each other at the end of the shot. In the next shot, Stan has suddenly turned another 90 degrees so that he is facing Richard. (00:08:23)
