Suggested correction: "Submerge the ship" is the correct verbiage. While submarines are referred to affectionately as boats by the crew, they are still ships and are referred to as such when the officer of the deck or commanding officer gives orders.
The Conn Officer will first order the boat to be Rigged for Dive. Upon getting a green board on the Ballast Control Panel (BCP) indicating all major hull openings are shut (red indicator means open), and reports from all stations that the boat is Rigged for Dive, he'll order the Diving Officer to dive the boat. The Diving Officer will then order the Chief of the Watch (the BCP operator) to submerge the ship and announce it; the Chief of the Watch, on the will announce "DIVE, DIVE' on the 1MC.
Continuity mistake: During the ultra quiet segment, a sailor tightens a bolt in the torpedo room, he has 2 hands on the wrench, but as the shot changes, one hand is now on the torpedo. (01:03:20)

Factual error: At the start we see icebergs in the water with most of their mass above the waterline. This is incorrect as the bulk of an iceberg is below the waterline. (00:01:00)
Factual error: The Udaloy class destroyer has the RBU-6000 behind its main gun, which is not the case. And when the Udaloy destroyer fires a cruise missile is also a mistake, the launcher is used for surface-to-air missiles, and Udaloy destroyers do not have capability to launch land attack cruise missiles.
Continuity mistake: The size of the blood stain on the president's shirt changes size between shots while escaping to the sub. (01:17:00)
Revealing mistake: When Bearman and the President are running from the Russians, we see some Russian 4x4's doing a hard turn to chase them. In this shot you can see skid marks from previous takes. (01:15:30)
Continuity mistake: The angle at which the dropped wrench is caught, changes between shots. (01:03:20)
Continuity mistake: When we see the 4 soldiers walking towards Polyarny they are climbing a concrete hill and are near the top. Camera changes to behind them, and they are further down the hill. (00:37:00)
Continuity mistake: After attaching to the first Russian sub, the two pilots have their hands lowered. The shot then changes to them looking at the hatch and the position of their hands has changed in an instant. (00:34:50)
Continuity mistake: After manning battle stations, they hear a new contact and Glass puts on a pair of headphones. When he does, the way he holds the headphones changes from a full hand to one finger and vice versa. (00:23:16)
Other mistake: When Glass is walking around the sub before leaving Scotland we see 2 men in their bunks. Just as the camera pans in to look at them, a third man in the corridor can be seen to stand aside and let the camera pass before continuing. Captain Glass is not near this sailor at the time.
