Trivia: On Knowhere, Thanos is questioning The Collector, played by Benicio Del Toro, for the location of the Reality Stone. He asks him "Where is the stone?" at one point. This is a reference to a heist scene from the movie Snatch, in which Benicio Del Toro is robbing a bank and asks "Where is the stone?" with the same line intonation. (00:48:45)

Trivia: (SPOILERS) As a result of the shocking twist ending where half of the peoples of the universe disintegrate into nothing, Reddit organized a huge campaign where they would ban half the subscribers of the subreddit /r/thanosdidnothingwrong to answer the question "Who would survive if this actually happened and who wouldn't?" Directors Joe and Anthony Russo also signed up for the campaign. At the end of the campaign, over 300,000 people had their accounts banned, including Joe Russo.

Trivia: When Thanos arrives at Titan, he is greeted by Doctor Strange, who is sitting down and playing with some rubble in his hand. When Iron Man, Thor and Captain America first see Thanos after he destroys the Avengers compound in Avengers: Endgame, he is similarly sitting down and playing with rubble in his hand. This could mean that Doctor Strange was mimicking what Thanos would do in the one out of 14,000,605 possible futures that he saw in which the heroes would defeat Thanos.

Trivia: The look of Black Widow with the white hair is a reference to Yelena Belova, a spy in the comics and second modern-era character to use the name Black Widow. She first appeared in Inhumans #5 in March 1999.

Trivia: In this and other Avenger films, Bruce Banner (Mark Ruffalo) is depicted as standing much shorter than Tony Stark (Robert Downey Jr). In reality, Ruffalo is only one inch shorter than Downey (who is 5'9" tall); but Bruce Banner is always portrayed as a diminutive character in contrast to his gigantic Hulk persona.

Trivia: When Star-Lord attempts to shoot Gamora with his blaster before she is taken by Thanos, Thanos uses the Reality Stone to turn his blaster into bubbles. He also later does this when Gamora attempts to stab herself. This is a reference to the fighting game Marvel vs. Capcom 2: New Age of Heroes, where attacks by Thanos often involved the use of bubbles. (00:53:30)

Trivia: The movie holds the world record for "Most times a single person has seen a movie in cinemas", held by YouTube personality Tony Mitchell. He saw the film 103 times, and both IMax and the studio as a result gave him 50 free tickets to help him break it.

Continuity mistake: When Thanos brings Vision back to life using the Time Stone, Thanos is standing a couple steps away from him after bringing him back. Wanda then tries to stop him, and it cuts to a wide shot where he suddenly is a couple of steps closer with his hand suddenly around Vision's neck. Thanos then pushes her with his other hand and in the next shot, Thanos is then reaching to put his hand around Vision's neck even though he was just shown with his hand around Vision's neck already. More quotes from Avengers: Infinity War

Answer: Although many fans speculated it was because the Hulk fears Thanos after Thanos easily defeated him at the beginning of the film, the Russo brothers have since come out and said that it's because the Hulk feels that Banner only wants the Hulk around for helping him in fights, so his refusal to transform is a protest of sorts.

Phaneron

I think it's both.

Well it's not both. The Russo Brothers, who directed the film, have openly stated that the Hulk is not afraid of Thanos.

Phaneron

Answer: Because he doesn't like being used as a tool and he also is summoned in two places he's already destroyed: New York and Africa. Those are two places he's shown regret for the damage he's caused, which caused him to leave in the first place.

DetectiveGadget85

Answer: Cause Hulk is afraid of Thanos.

This is directly contradicted by the directors of the film, who have stated it's because he doesn't like that Banner only wants to use him for his strength.

While I understand that this is what the directors said, what we have in the finished product would never lead one to this conclusion. We first see Hulk fight Thanos and get completely over-matched. From then on, we only get glimpses of Hulk inside Banner, refusing to come out, and seemingly scared to do so. If they wished to convey inner strife between Banner and Hulk or anything else, that did a very poor job doing so.
