Factual error: The depiction of lasers is completely off in the movie. While surgical laser is indeed a real thing, such a highly concentrated beam with enormous cutting power seen in the film would take industrial size instruments and an extremely high power supply. Also, a laser beam simply doesn't look that way. Those scenes are way off into science fiction for an otherwise raw and realistic-looking thriller.

Continuity mistake: As Anna and Mitch get trapped in the silo, various sharp and pointy tools begin to fall on them (a pitchfork, circular saw blades, nails, etc.), but when Ryan finally pulls the lever and the silo door bursts open, they all disappear. Only the wheat and the trapped duo can be seen "flowing" out.

Deliberate mistake: During his autopsy in Saw IV, it is revealed John Kramer was 52 at the time of his death. Kramer's role in this film is the very early stages of his time as Jigsaw, shortly after his cancer diagnosis, which would put him in his early 50's. However, he looks far too old to convincingly be that young (Tobin Bell was in his mid-70's at the time of filming). He even looks older than he did when he was on his deathbed in Saw III.

Plot hole: The arrangement of the traps in the barn assumes that Jigsaw foreseen the whole outcome of the game – which is impossible. For example, he made a tape and a complex, thematic trap exclusively for Mitch – but what if Mitch would have died during the very first trial or afterwards?

Ryan: What's going on?
Jigsaw: You're about to play a game. Your final test.
Ryan: I've already passed my test! Look at my fucking leg
Jigsaw: That wasn't your test, Ryan. And that wouldn't have been necessary if you had simply played by the rules.

Trivia: The film is edited by Kevin Greutert, who edited "Saw" 1-5, and directed the sixth and seventh films. Greutert is one of only a few holdover crewmembers from the original run of the series to return. He said he felt an obligation to be a part of "Jigsaw"- feeling that given his past with the series, he should help usher the franchise into the new direction that the producers and writers wanted to take, while also helping to maintain ties to what came before.

Question: Why did Anna get so mad over Ryan killing Carly? If it were not for him, all of them would have died. All of them were almost dying when Ryan injected Carly. But after they were all release from the chains, Anna got so angry with Ryan and attacked him and said to him "Fucking asshole." It turns out that she killed her baby just because her baby didn't stop crying in the past. So she is not the type of the person who cares about people's lives very much.

Answer: She's just trying to maintain a moral high-ground over Ryan. Plenty of people do that all the time, especially in stressful situations.
