Continuity mistake: When Dr Stelline offers to look at K's memory, she begins to remove the lanyard around her neck that is connected to the device she is using. In the shot where she begins to take it off, her left hand is positioned above her right shoulder when the shot ends. When the shot cuts, her left hand is lowered to her side. (01:20:13)
Continuity mistake: Dr. Stelline offers to analyse K's memory to see if it is real. She sits down on a bench where her console is shown and is smiling with her mouth closed. Continuity mistake: When K is told by Dr. Ana Stelline that his memory was real, he screams and kicks the stool he is sitting on. When this happens, Dr. Stelline's reflection can be seen in the window, with her hands at her side, but when the shot cuts to Stelline, she suddenly has one hand on her nose. (01:22:10)
Continuity mistake: When K is about to have sex with Joi using Mariette's body, whilst they are kissing there is a shot from behind K where Mariette has her hands around the back of K's neck. The shot then cuts to angle in front of K where Mariette now has her hand on K's chin. (01:29:30)
Continuity mistake: Just after Mariette leaves the apartment, K is pouring himself a cup of a coffee, and places the pot next to the stove on the counter when he finishes. A couple of shots later, when K says they'll be coming after him, the coffee pot has moved away from the stove to a different part of the counter. (01:32:15)
Continuity mistake: When K is about the leave the apartment, Joi tells him to transfer her to the emanator. K says "I can't do that", grabs the emanator and turns his head to face Joi. But in the next shot, his head is facing the emanator. (01:33:05)
Continuity mistake: When Dr. Badger is analysing the wooden horse, he begins turning the knob on the console, with two fingers turning the knob and the rest of his hand laid against the console, but from another angle, he is turning the knob with his entire hand. (01:34:25)
Continuity mistake: To analyse the wooden horse, Dr. Badger has it placed on a scanner, places a plastic container over it, lowers a console onto the container and rolls another piece of equipment up against the container. These pieces of equipment remain on the scanner, but just after K says he wants to know where the horse is from, the console has been raised to its original position, the plastic container has been removed from the scanner, and the other piece of equipment has been rolled back to its original position. The equipment could not have been moved when it was off-screen because there was there would not have been enough time in between shots. (01:34:45)
Continuity mistake: After analysing the wooden horse, Dr. Badger tells K he can get him a real horse, and K replies "I don't want a real horse, I just want to find out where it's from" and then looks in the direction of the horse. In the next shot, he is suddenly looking up at Dr. Badger. (01:34:50)
Continuity mistake: When Dr. Badger has finished analysing the wooden horse, he takes it off the scanner and holds it in both his hands, whilst still facing the scanner. Continuity mistake: When Luv confronts Lieutenant Joshi in her office, in the shot where she switches off the computer monitors, there are a series of files on her desk in front of the monitors. There is a white file, next to it a black file, and next to that a beige file with two files under it. When Joshi stands up, the beige file and the files under it have gone and there is now a gap between the white and black files. Later on in the scene, after Luv picks up Joshi's body after stabbing her, the black file is on the left, the beige file is back and in the middle, but no files under it, and the white file is on the right. Continuity mistake: Just after Luv stabs Lieutenant Joshi, she goes over to her computers and switches on the monitors. She is still looking at the computers at the end of the shot, but in the next shot, she is suddenly looking to the right, at Joshi's body. (01:40:00)
Continuity mistake: When Deckard is approaching K after first meeting him, he says "Many is the night I dream of cheese" and the shot cuts to a closer angle of him. When this happens, the creases on Deckard's shirt change appearance between shots. (01:45:55)

Continuity mistake: When K and Deckard are sitting at the bar room counter, K has a cloth pressed against his head to stop bleeding. When the shot is on K, the cloth appears to be scrunched up, but when the shot is on Deckard, the cloth is neatly placed against his head. (01:52:15)
Continuity mistake: K has a drink from his glass of whiskey, puts the glass back on the counter and places his hand on the counter. In the next shot, his hand is suddenly back on the glass. (01:52:20)
Continuity mistake: When Deckard asks K if he has a name, K lifts his glass an inch off the counter and tilts it towards him to look inside it. The shot cuts to a different angle where the glass is now lifted further off the table. (01:52:25)
Answer: Think of any manufacturing process. Samples of new products are frequently created and then immediately destroyed. Also, the new replicant would require processing, training, etc. It was simpler for him to just dispose of the test.
