So I Married an Axe Murderer

Continuity mistake: When Charlie asks for the check in the restaurant, the check is brought and he reaches for it with his left hand. When Tony protests that he'd take care of the check, there is a shot from in front of Charlie and his *right* hand is trying to grab the check. It continues to switch between shots until Harriet grabs the check and pays for it herself.

Continuity mistake: After Harriet tells the two Russian sailors off, they walk to the other side of the columns awfully quick considering the short amount of time between the exchange and the next shot of them in the background. They must have run part of the way.

Continuity mistake: The second time Charlie goes to the butcher shop, the woman being helped when he first walks in takes her package from Harriet and supposedly leaves. Later she shows up in these same butcher shop scenes catching a flying piece of meat. In addition, the guy Charlie helps takes his packages and leaves the shop only to reappear a minute later holding a jar and looking incredulously at Charlie making cow noises. I guess they were a little short on extras.

Visible crew/equipment: When Charlie goes into the closet instead of through the door, when he doesn't want to drink what Harriet made him, and all the stuff falls over him, you can see the head of one of the sound guys at the bottom of the screen (on the right). (00:47:37)

Visible crew/equipment: At the hotel at the end, when the cop is pulling the girl hanging off the roof in, if you watch closely you can see a crew member hold onto his waist.

Revealing mistake: Charlie is hanging off the ledge of the hotel when Rose chops the axe in between his fingers - if you look closely at his hand it clearly looks like rubber.

Continuity mistake: During the first scene in the coffee shop, Tony's collar alternates from hanging down to sticking nearly straight out to the side.

Continuity mistake: When Charlie brings the haggis to his parent's house, the sun is still shining when he parks in the driveway. When seen from inside the house as he enters, it's now very dark outside.

Suggested correction: It's not very dark outside, you can see the light from in the widows. It's just that's lot of windows are covered up so it's hard to tell. But the front door is in alcove with a roof eave over it that puts it in the shadow, which makes it look dark behind him.

Continuity mistake: When Charlie goes onto the roof after Rose gets stuck by the closet, the lights are off in the hotel room because the power is out. But when they show Charlie climbing out of the window, the two windows in the shot have lights on, as though there were lights on in the actual rooms.

Suggested correction: You can see the lights come back on as Charlie is running towards the window. The power comes back on before he gets on the roof.

Character mistake: Tony, as a cop, should've known to cuff Rose's hands behind her back. He also apparently doesn't cuff Harriet properly as she's left outside with them dangling from one wrist.

Question: What does Harriet say to the Russian sailors as they walk past?

Answer: Real Russian, here. Sailor #1 says "she's a little thin." Sailor #2 says* "she looks really good to me." Harriet says "Yes. Very good." Sailor #1 says "Damn, she understands Russian." Harriet says "See you later, boys." (*Очень даже ничего is an idiom.) Мальчики or "malchiki" is "boys."

Answer: They are saying she is too tall and too skinny, but one says she's still pretty good looking. She sarcastically says "Thanks a lot," or something to that effect. One of the guys says "Oh, she understands Russian." And Harriet replies, "Yes, I do. You fellas have a nice evening."

Answer: I don't know the entire conversation, but it definitely wasn't just "have a good night fellas" she said "malchik gei", which means gay boy in Russian so she was probably insulting them right back.

Malchiki is boys. She says "See you later, boys." Ну пока, мальчики.
