Continuity mistake: In the beginning when Morton and Greg meet the drug dealers at the harbor, look at the big rig that is hooked up to the trailer. In the first few shots the truck brand is a Volvo, then when the truck drives away, it's an International.

Revealing mistake: When Schmidt is receiving text messages on his Xperia Z from Captain Dickson that he is going to kill him for dating his daughter, you can hear the phone chiming, but when he shows his cell phone you can see in the notification bar it's on silent. (00:59:00)

Revealing mistake: The helicopter scene shows a brown skin-toned hand holding onto Schmidt's hand, a couple of times, and then it shows Jenko's white hand again.

Other mistake: In the first scenes of the film, we see the truck in which Jenco and Schmidt are going and moving away from Ghost, but while the truck is running we see Ghost inside it, sitting in front of the driver.

Visible crew/equipment: When the 2 are walking along side their car at the very start, you can see a driver's head as they go past the building. (00:02:15)

Revealing mistake: When showing the characters enter the library, a sign identifying the real-world location as Tulane University is visible.

Factual error: Near the end of the helicopter scene Jenko pulls the pin of a grenade with his teeth before he throws it. It is not possible to pull a grenade pin with your teeth as it requires more force than that.

Schmidt: He's black! He's been through a lot!
