Continuity mistake: When Oliver Jr. falls into the bath, he fumbles around and turns the shower on, but other than a close-up of water coming out of the shower head, there is no sign of the water falling into the bath.

Continuity mistake: When Oliver Jr. takes the vase off the table, you can see that at the left end of the fireplace there is a block and a ball. In the next shot, the block has disappeared and the ball has moved further down.

Continuity mistake: Oliver Jr. is soaked when he falls into the bathtub, but when he is boxing with Stan Jr. he now appears to be completely dry.

Continuity mistake: After Oliver Jr. has liniment poured down his pyjamas, Stan Jr. turns on the taps and they are only just starting to fill up the bath, but when he and Oliver Jr. return to the bathroom a couple of shots later, the bath is now completely full.

Continuity mistake: When Oliver is about to hit the white ball during the snooker game, you can see there is a piece of chalk on the side, but when Stan grabs the white hall and Oliver rips the table in the next shot, the chalk has disappeared.

Continuity mistake: When Stan is about to take his shot during the snooker game, the white ball is near the top right pocket, but a few shots later it is now beside the ball near the top left pocket.

Continuity mistake: When Stan and Oliver's two sons are playing near the door of their bedroom, Stan Jr. Breaks the doorknob by pulling it, but when their fathers go up to their bedroom after hearing a noise, the doorknob is now completely fixed.

Stan Sr.: Remember the old adage: You can lead a horse to water, but a pencil must be lead.
