Factual error: In the cardiac resuscitation scene with Brian Cranston, someone says "he's in atrial fibrillation... Give him 1 milligram of epinephrine." Wrong drug, in fact one that would very likely kill him immediately (maybe that's why he didn't make it!).
Factual error: When TCAS sounds on an airliner, it should include instructions for the pilot to climb or descend. The pilot should not have to call another plane to inform that pilot. It would take too much time.
Factual error: When Koba steals an Armored Security Vehicle class M1117A Guardian, he kills the gunner from the turret and then somehow manages to use the 240B attached to the turret. First, it takes three men/apes to operate the ASV, and second, the ASV cannot be operated from the turret. In that scene, it is assumed that Koba is operating the entire vehicle, something most humans cannot do or do not know how to do. Let alone a 240B, MK19, or .50 Cal M2 Browning. The ASV turned in the direction of the wall, which was the only way that the Apes were able to breach the city walls. This is also kind of an important plot hole blunder too because if it were not for the breach from the ASV, the Apes would not have won. The other blunder from this is that the gunner would not have been exposed from the hatch, since the ASV was using .50Cal and MK19. No need to use the 240B.
Factual error: The solar panels (or mirrors) are facing away from the sun. The sun's position can be estimated from ground shadows and object highlights and the panels are facing in completely the wrong direction. (01:11:40)
Factual error: The elevator Cade leaves because there's "too much weight" shows in the next scene a weight limit of 680kg. Even if the four passengers weighed 90kg each (a total of 360kg) it would mean the seed weighed more than 320kg (over 700lb), which would mean that Joyce would never be able to carry it alone as he did several times.
Factual error: In the opening sequence just before Minute 1, after the asteroid is reported to have hit Hamburg (Germany), it is shown in red how the mimics spread through Europe. But wrongly this spreading is originating from the center of Europe (somewhere in Austria) rather than in Hamburg (on the far north of Germany). You can even see in the next shot how it spreads from Austria to Germany, Czech Republic, Slovakia and Hungary, which makes no sense if the origin is supposed to be the far north of Germany. Factual error: When they show Alex's partner in the hospital his heart rate is showing 35 on the monitor. His heart rate is not that low from the EKG pattern.
Factual error: When Magneto enters RFK stadium, a groundskeeper is lining a baseball field. RFK stadium did not host baseball in 1973, as the Washington Senators had moved to Texas to become the Texas Rangers after the 1971 season. In 1973, the only team playing in RFK regularly was the Washington Redskins of the NFL. In addition, the Paris Peace Accords were signed in January of 1973; so there wouldn't be green grass inside the stadium, regardless of what sports were being played there.
Factual error: They find an old video camera from their dad, but that camera is already 10 years old. And the battery just works?
Factual error: In the rat revival scene, Dr. Terra Wade, an electrophysiologist, demands that the other scientist, Dr. Bell increase the current, going as high as 200 joules. However, current is measured in amperes (amps), joules is a unit of energy.
Factual error: When they're all on the 7 it makes an emergency stop at the 96 Street station, but that's impossible since that line only travels cross town along 42 Street, it doesn't go uptown to 96th.
Factual error: The picture of the bomb switch shows an Arduino Pro Mini. The Arduino Pro Mini was released in 2008, not in 1975. (01:21:20)
Suggested correction: SPOILERS: The ending of the film reveals that the Fizzle Bomber is an older version of the Agent, who still has a functioning time machine. This simply shows that he is using parts from the future for his bombs.
Factual error: In the scene where Katniss is being asked to make the first scripted propaganda video, they ask for wind machines to be turned on for effect. The blades on these fans start turning the wrong way (onto suck, not blow).
Factual error: The alien drops the video camera out of the UFO from outer space and it falls to earth landing on the ground. This very far drop would certainly have busted it to pieces, if not ignited it on reentry, but when the guy picks it up off the ground, it appears only the screen is cracked.
Factual error: Narration refers to Hitler's Germany research into nuclear fusion - it was nuclear fission they were looking into, the same as what fueled the WWII-ending bombs in Japan, and every nuclear bomb and missile since. No nation has been able to generate nuclear fusion until very recently, and it doesn't produce an explosion - which is what Hitler wanted. (00:08:35)
