Continuity mistake: In the third rendition of the story of what happened at Zhao, Nameless shows that his attack could have immense precision by throwing all the additional sticks in the air along with the white one. Not only does the white stick change trajectory during the scene changes, but at the end the additional sticks all seem to fly in from a barrel just out of sight instead of falling all around Nameless' sword.
Continuity mistake: When Igby's dad breaks the shower door, he breaks it with his right arm. The next shot has him cradling a badly cut and lacerated left arm.
Continuity mistake: When Barris is in his office reading a newspaper article, his secretary tells him over the intercom to pick up line one. Keep an eye on the Variety paper laying on his desk. In the very next shot, a pencil magically appears on top of it.
Continuity mistake: When Van Zan is showing the dragon tooth to Quinn, the chain that's holding the tooth keeps moving around the entire scene from on his hand to around his hand, etc.
Continuity mistake: At the start when Pistachio's dad is in the car, you see in the background that they are on a road, but when you see a wider outside shot, he isn't driving on a road.
Continuity mistake: In the scene where White She Devil is pursuing Undercover Brother on a motorbike, her helmet changes from one without a visor when the shot is a close-up her face, to a different helmet with a visor when the shot is from further away.
Continuity mistake: When you first see Betty swinging the chain near the waterfall, in the first shot of him the water is quite rough, but in later shots it is really smooth.
Continuity mistake: In the scene where Stallone is chasing and shooting at the killer in the factory, he bursts through a door and shoots the hanging body of the FBI/SWAT officer. In the first shot of the officer you can see his lips. The next shot of the body shows that his mouth is duct taped.
Continuity mistake: In the scene where Joe Nast goes to the post office to get back the wedding invitations, Bertie invites him to come through the little window into the back to help her find them. As he crawls through he accidentally kicks the bell off the counter. However when the shot changes to the interior of the mail room, the bell is still on the counter. The DVD commentary states that this shot was done on a stage in a studio, and the former shot was an actual store. Jake Gyllenhaal admits to having purposefully tried to knock the bell off, so it seems that when the studio shot was being made this detail was forgotten, or it was shot beforehand.
Continuity mistake: Throughout the movie Astrid's eyebrows change colour from a light brown to a dark brown.
Continuity mistake: In the scene where Christina decides not to be afraid anymore and runs after Peter, she comes out of the house and first shouts while facing in the wrong direction. She knew that he went the other way, because she saw him leave. (Shot at different times, confirmed on DVD commentary.) (01:19:25)
Continuity mistake: In the scene where Justin arrives home from school, Richard is on his bed wearing a black hooded top and long coat. The camera angle cuts to beside the bed, and Richard is only wearing the black hoodie (it goes just to his waist), then as he stands up he is wearing the long coat again.
Continuity mistake: Hadley is in the hospital and she is talking to Alicia. Later on in the scene Alicia goes home. Hadley's dad walks in and she makes him call Alicia to take back his promise. When he phones her it has only been like 2 minutes and Alicia is home from the hospital. How can this be.
Continuity mistake: In the scene where Winnie and Jessie are going swimming, when Winnie takes off her dress, you see that her right foot was not completely out of the dress. Then in the next shot, you see Winnie jump in without moving her dress at all, and it is far away from her on the rock.
Continuity mistake: During the final pool sequences, there's a quick glimpse of the main character's left (broken) wrist. It's normally all purple and gross looking, but in a brief shot, you can see his left hand shooting the pool cue and there is no purple swelling.
Continuity mistake: When Lanie is talking to her sister at her sister's house, they are seated across from each other on sofas. Her sister has a plate of cookies in front of her on the coffee table. As Lanie and her sister are talking and her sister gets up towards the end of the scene, the plate of cookies have moved across the table in front of Lanie.
Continuity mistake: During the first meal in the new house, the level of Coke in the daughter's glass keeps changing as the camera cuts between her and her mother. The Coke can revolves as well. Sometimes the Coke-logo is visible, at other times the list of ingredients is facing the audience.
Continuity mistake: When Davey Stone is running away from the police while singing, after he says, "But I'll give this old lady's melon's a squeeze.", he swings around a street pole. The garbage can lid he is riding on has no handle, but when he slides down the hill and jumps over the front of a snow plow, the lid has a handle.
Continuity mistake: About 35-40 minutes into the film, Jules and Jess are at the bus stop. Pinky's future in-laws drive by in the Jaguar with nothing in front of them. When the camera shot moves back as they enter the bend, another car has appeared in front of them.
Continuity mistake: Near the end of the movie, Calvin is sitting on a couch and his pregnant wife comes in with a mug of something and sits next to Calvin. They start to talk and she takes her left hand off of the mug and lays it on the side of her stomach. The camera angle cuts to the back of the couch and both of her hands are on the mug. The camera angle cuts back to the front and her had is on her belly again.
