Continuity mistake: When Gwen is watching the soap opera Santa Gruz, together with Eddie, in the front shots of the TV screen, you see a video cassette on the top of the TV with the heading "SONY". Continuity mistake: When Samuel Jackson is about to be shot by the two corrupt cops, the Vanessa Williams character comes up from behind and shoots the black one in the head and he falls down. Then, they show her talking, and the same black man's arm and partial shoulder are in the shot.
Continuity mistake: When Marcus brings his hand off the fingerprint scanner you can see he is wearing a film allowing him to use someone else's fingerprints. However, note the tip of this index finger, the print is peeled back nearly to the first knuckle and the scan would have certainly failed. (00:08:00)
Continuity mistake: I don't think it's quite a mistake, but in almost every scene with Madonna, she has a mysterious shadow over her forehead. In full shots, no shadow, but when they cut to her close-up, there it is. It's more annoying than anything else (aside from her acting).
Continuity mistake: When Tony is in the lesson talking about vampires, the blackboard behind the teacher is free of any writing. Then, between shots, '300' is written on the blackboard, even though the teacher didn't write it.
Continuity mistake: Towards the end of the movie, Mary Panton and Rowley Flint are in conversation. Whenever Rowley is talking, one sees a large pearl earring on Mary, but whenever she is seen answering him, she is not wearing an earring.
Continuity mistake: When Tony is stuck in the tunnel in the prison and is talking to Wolf, there are still several feet of tunnel ahead of him before the end of the tunnel. But when Wolf gives him a push, he is shown coming right out of the tunnel's end.
Continuity mistake: At the end where Nick and Kaela swap eye colour, Nick's blue eye switches positions from right to left.
Continuity mistake: When Ed is taking his tie off after the meeting with the PG&E clerk, he loosens it, then they cut to Erin, then back to Ed, and his tie is back to tight around his neck, and he's taking something out of his breast pocket. Then they cut back, and his tie is off. (00:52:42)
Continuity mistake: When the crew pull the hook out of the man's hand, he puts a spoon in his mouth - its facing right, but when he's done it's facing left. (00:55:15)
Continuity mistake: When Monica gets out of her car after her first day at the bank, she stumbles over her shoes. She takes them off, talks to Q for awhile, and then heads into the house. Watch as she rounds the corner to the house (right when she gets to the hedges, watch carefully because she walks around the hedges fast) you can clearly see that she does in fact have her shoes on, without her putting them back on. She didn't even bend down like she should if she were putting them back on.
Continuity mistake: When Peter is in Carl's mind with Catherine and is getting his intestines wrapped around the spit, the amount of his intestine on the spit keeps decreasing then increasing suddenly. (01:16:25)
Continuity mistake: The computer terminal used by Don Cheadle's character has a grey cable connected but the connector appears damaged - twisted out of alignment. A few seconds later the same cable appears connected normally then, a few seconds after that, it is damaged again. (01:13:00)
Continuity mistake: In the beginning of the movie there is a scene where Joan Allen is walking next to the President. If you look closely at her feet, she is wearing two different colored high heels.
Continuity mistake: During the climactic landing sequence at the end, the point of view shifts rapidly from head-on to alongside and back. Watch carefully at the first side-on view just as they're touching down; the nose of the shuttle says "Columbia". When it switches to the next head-on view, the wings say "Daedalus".
Continuity mistake: When the Wiccan girl and the guy writing the book were sitting at the table the guy knocks down the cup when he hits the table. In the next shot the cup is up again.
Continuity mistake: Near the beginning, Giovanni Ribisi has a voiceover in which he refers to the #6 (subway) going to Fulton Street. The #6 train does not stop at Fulton, the 4 and 5 do.
Continuity mistake: In the underground garage scene with Russ, Rusty and Janet, Rusty's hair is combed straight down and very neat when he comes out from behind the pillar. When Janet says, "I should have worn my magic bra and panties.", Rusty starts laughing and his hair is messed up. But then when Rusty is snapping his seat belt as he's sitting in the Porsche, his hair is back to being neat.
Continuity mistake: When Bill tells Selma he has no money, her hair changes from tied back, to down numerous times between cuts.
