Trivia: Disney wanted people to despise Scar, the film's villain, so, during Scar's big song 'Be prepared', they made references to Adolf Hitler. When Scar's army begins to march, they are goose-stepping like Nazi soldiers and have their snouts raised like a Nazi salute (their snouts appear longer here than in any other part of the movie, and pointed to their right). Scar is on a large ledge, which resembles a balcony, much like that used by Hitler - on the side, the rock has a pattern resembling a giant Swastika. And finally, on the ground where the army marches, lines appear. These lines were on the streets of Germany, where the Nazis paraded.
Trivia: There is a short scene after the credits.
Trivia: The names of three characters were switched when "Street Fighter" was released in the United States. M. Bison was originally called Vega; Vega was called Balrog; and Balrog was called M. Bison. The reason this was done because Capcom (the creator of the game) figured it may get sued by boxer Mike Tyson if there was a black boxing character named M. Bison (who already resembles Tyson enough without the name).
Trivia: Part of the genesis of the film was when director Tad Stones became fascinated with the character Iago. He was talking to a producer about the characters he wanted to include and mentioned Iago, and was told that Iago was trapped in a lamp. This made Stones think about how Iago might escape and what he'd do after he got out... which eventually morphed into the plot for the movie. In fact, the working title was originally "Iago Returns," before "The Return of Jafar" was settled on.
