Continuity mistake: When Doug's F-16 is destroyed near the start of the film, the exploding aircraft is in fact one of the 'MiG-23s' from later in the film (it's clear on a slow forward setting).

Continuity mistake: After Chuck Norris throws away the pimp during the initial evacuation of the embassy, the man pulls out a gun and shoots Chuck Norris from behind. The bullet hits him in the right shoulder but at the next moment - seen from his front - the wound is on his left side.

Continuity mistake: When Hambleton is rescued in the huey by Capt Clark, he drops his walking stick as he is hanging half in half out of the chopper and it falls out of the chopper. A few seconds later he has his walking stick as he is still trying to get in the chopper.

Continuity mistake: At the start of the film Christopher Reeve is being chased by a German on a Motorcycle. The Motorcycle used is a Jawa 350 two stroke, but they dubbed a four stroke sound on top. When the chase goes off-road the Motorcycle then transforms into a Motocross Motorcycle. (00:02:00)
