Funny Thing Happened on the Way to London - S3-E5

Corrected entry: When Hogan goes to shake hands with Baumann, he grabs and raises Baumann's arm to make the wrist gun fire upwards. As it fires, it takes Klink's hat off. Upon inspection, Klink's hat has only one hole, as if fired through from underneath. The gun fired at the peak of the hat, therefore, there should be a second hole about the level of the top of the eagle on the front of the hat.

Movie Nut

Correction: The second hole is there. It is below the wing of the eagle. If you look closely, you can see a dark spot where there shouldn't be one.

The Wild Wild West picture

Show generally

Corrected entry: Throughout Series: No one ever explained just how West and Gordon were able, in the 1870s, to send and receive telegraph signals from a moving train, without any wire connection.

Jean G

Correction: Wireless telegraphs were possible and designed in a number of ways in the early 19th century. Radio waves could be used. In 1832 James Lindsay demonstrated the idea of wireless telegraphy and showed it worked over a 2 mile distance in 1854. Thomas Edison patented his "grasshopper telegraphy", which allowed signals to jump the short distance between a running train and telegraph wires running parallel to the tracks. While this wasn't until the mid-1880's, Wild Wild West relied on advanced technologies and Gordon could have easily been able to come up with this same invention for personal use.

I Dream of Jeannie picture

Show generally

Corrected entry: Major Healy is an astronaut - and an Army officer. In those days, astronauts had to be pilots with thousands of hours of experience in fighters and other high-performance aircraft and the Army did not (and does not) have any such aircraft, only helicopters and a few small propeller planes. Astronauts could be Air Force, Navy, or Marine Corps pilots, but not Army. In fact, according to the insignia on his uniform, Major Healy is not even in Army aviation, but the Corps of Engineers, which is responsible for bridges, roads, dams, etc.

Correction: In the 1960s the Army did not have a branch called Aviation. Officers used their original branch insignia, like Major Healey. Army Aviation branch was officially made in the 1990s. Major Healey's uniform is correct.

Get Smart picture

Show generally

Corrected entry: Season 2 Episode 17, "Someone Down Here Hates Me": When Siegfried is yelling at his people, he calls them fools, incompetents, bunglers, and dummkopfs. But the plural form of the German 'Dummkopf' is not 'Dummkopfs'- it's 'Dummköpfe' - a mistake a man with German background like Siegfried would never make. (00:03:15)

Correction: Well Seigfried has proven himself on nearly every episode to be somewhat of an idiot. So not knowing how to say a german word properly is hardly a stretch for him.
