Best family movie mistakes of 1955
Other mistake: The catapult on the battlements Jean uses to evict the castle guards is rather curious. First, there is neither a bow nor any torsion to 'power' the weapon, and secondly it just seems to cock itself, right after each shot. All that Jean does is pull the lever and none of her diminutive helpers stand by for any cocking work whenever the catapult arm is shown.
Other mistake: Philip De Guard is the cartoon's layout artist, yet when we see his name in the opening credits, it is spelled "Phillip" instead of the usual "Philip."
Continuity mistake: At the beginning of the cartoon, there are four mice behind the wired fence, but when one of them says "Pussycat!" we cut back to the mice and there are now five.
Continuity mistake: Before Tom is about to draw a line on the alarm clock on the blueprint, you can see on the left hand side of the clock there is an "A" and an arrow, and on the right hand side is some writing. When Tom draws the line, the "A", arrow and writing have all disappeared.
Continuity mistake: When Uncle Pecos breaks his guitar string whilst rehearsing in Jerry's home, he goes up to Tom and pulls off one of his whiskers. The whisker Pecos pulls off is the one on the top left of Tom's face, but when Tom goes to check his face in the mirror a few shots later, the whisker Pecos pulled off is still intact, and the whisker in the bottom right has been pulled.
Continuity mistake: When the Coyote attempts to capture the Road Runner for the first time, he is standing on a bare patch of pavement surrounded by the puddle of glue he is spreading. In the next shot, the Coyote is now standing on glue with no bare patch, and when he realises he is about to be hit by the truck, he is standing on bare pavement in middle of the glue puddle once again.
Continuity mistake: When the stork takes the baby to Mr and Mrs Pierce, he is holding the bag in his left hand when he walks up the stairs, but when he arrives at the flat, the bag is now in his right hand.
Continuity mistake: When Calvin Q. Calculus has invented the portable hole, he says "Eureka!" and you can that there is a beaker on the desk, but in the next shot the beaker has disappeared.
Continuity mistake: When Bugs discovers that Mr Hyde fired a hole in the wood that he used to board the door up to stop Mr Hyde from entering the basement, the number of planks change between shots.
Continuity mistake: When Bugs is horrified to realise that he was holding a picket sign, the yellow paint on his tail disappears briefly.
Continuity mistake: When the man is imitating the frog to the agent in the talent agency, he is initially holding his hat, and then throws his hands up into the air. When his hands come back down, the hat has disappeared.
