Other mistake: Near the end of the film Bobby Campo uses a long piece of wood to set off the sprinkler and put out the fire. This small flame activates the sprinkler, which wasn't activated by the huge pile of burning sawdust and chemicals.
Other mistake: Where did those spikes above and below the rear door come from? They exceed the height of the door.
Other mistake: During the dinner Slowik reveals that his restaurant does not have nor serve bread of any kind. Towards the end of the movie Margot requests that he make her a cheeseburger, which he does. Where did the buns come from?
Suggested correction: He didn't say they didn't have bread. He stated THEY wouldn't get bread for that evening, since it's a common man's staple, and they are not the common man. So, they get a breadless bread plate with nothing but dipping sauces.
Suggested correction: I just watched through the scene. The chef never once says that the restaurant has no bread. He only states that the guests will not be getting bread as part of this specific meal plan. Furthermore, we actually see a plate of bread at the start of the course, the dude-bro customers ask for bread since they know the chef has it, the notecard specifically discusses the bread that was made at the restaurant but won't be served, and another customer actually even specifically notes that the restaurant is known for their high-quality bread. Every single indication is that the chef absolutely has bread and is simply withholding it due to the theme of his dinner that night.
Other mistake: When Norman and Mary are at the swamp, the sheriff hands him the ashtray they found and bates explains that it belonged to Mr Toomey. Mary say "Who"? and the sheriff explains who he is. This makes no sense as Mary knew full well who Toomey was and had no reason to play dumb.
Suggested correction: She wasn't playing dumb. She says WHO because she didn't hear the name correctly.
Other mistake: In the train scene, when Ed plays the two tapes separately, the first tape says," Help...It...Let...Go, Help...It...Let...Go." The second tape is then played, saying," Me...Won't...Me...Won't...Me." When played together, it should say," Help me, It won't let me go, Help won't, it me let go." Instead, it somehow turns into," Help me, it won't let me go, help me, it won't let me go." There aren't enough words in the second recording to fill or sequence the entire sentence(s). (01:45:00 - 01:49:00)
Other mistake: When Larry Crocket runs out of the house in his underwear and gets attacked by Barlow, later when the police find him his clothes are in the car. How is that possible when he ran out of the house with his clothes still inside?
Other mistake: Irv and Blaire's death scene doesn't make sense. When Irv poured butter on the popcorn, he should've noticed the spider in the bowl. Also, when Blaire picked the spider up, she should've felt it. Both of them still appeared to be watching the TV after being bitten, which also didn't make sense. Why didn't they have seizures like the other victims?
Other mistake: Stripe manages to get the TVs and video camera working in the department store even though Kate hadn't turned the power on yet.
Other mistake: Jill's shoulder seems to be perfectly fine when fighting with Sydney, even though she stabbed her shoulder earlier. (01:38:00 - 01:40:00)
Suggested correction: Anger and fear can be more than enough to gather enough strength to fight your way out of a difficult situation regardless of how much of a critical condition you are in.
Other mistake: The clocks as we learn later in the film stop at 03:07 due to that being the time the witch died. However, the grandfather clock we see for the first time has stopped at 03:07. We then see it stop at 03:07 the next night too. However the minute hand is in a different spot to when it first stopped - it should have stopped at precisely the same point. (00:13:05 - 00:18:50)
Other mistake: While Dennis is editing one of the video tapes, there's one on a table labeled "89" even though the film takes place in 1988.
Other mistake: At the end when the naked but invisible hero runs from the police but is given away by his footprints in the snow, the footprints are of shoes, not bare feet.
Other mistake: When Columbus is face-to-face with the clown zombie, he looks up at Wichita, who is on the ride, stuck at the top of the tower. Columbus looks almost straight up at her, but when Wichita looks to Columbus for help, she should look almost straight down, but instead she looks straight ahead. There is no other reason why she would have looked straight ahead because a) Columbus was directly below her, b) Little Rock and Tallahassee were to her right, and c) she almost perpetually had her eyes on the zombie climbing the tower towards her.
Other mistake: After Barry (Ryan Phillippe) is put in the hospital, the four of them are talking about the murder and who tried to kill Barry. If you look at the door to Barry's room it is open - didn't anybody hear them talking about murders and a man with a slicker? (00:43:45)
Other mistake: This mistake happens in the scene introducing the four singing heads on the Australian release DVD. They start singing when Jim and the kids turn the corner. According to the subtitles, they sing "When the cryptos creak and the tombstones quake, spooks come out for a swinging wake..." The subtitles are supposed to read 'crypt doors', not the incomprehensible 'cryptos'. (00:47:40)
Other mistake: After the stranger calls Jill in the guest house, she celebrates the fact that she kept him on the line for longer than a minute. However, this conversation was significantly shorter than their last, and in reality it only clocks in at around twenty seconds.
Other mistake: In addition to the brake lights, there are no lights at all on the back of the car when you see it driven from behind. However, you can see that the lights are on from the front of the car.
Other mistake: When the bunch of soldiers find Dr. Paul Foster, one of them removes the doctor's wallet from the crack in his skull. In this scene, Foster's eyes are open and seem to be red. Before and after this scene, when you can see the eyes, they are clear white. The wallet has traces of blood and brain matter on it, but the blood looks too reddish. If it is some hours old, it should look darker. (00:34:10)
Other mistake: Nell's hair is considerably lighter in the scene where it starts moving by itself - clearly CGI.
Other mistake: When "the killer" is pumping gas, if you count the clicks associated with a liter going into the tank, they equal a total of 33 liters of gas, not 27 which is what the pump stops on.
