Continuity mistake: When General Grey tells the President not to engage until they have visual, in the President's close-up the exterior of this F/A-18 Hornet is quite different than what was shown in the earlier shot, as the canopy closed over him. All the rivets around the canopy have disappeared and the 'danger' triangle is much closer to the name Patrick, the seat differs, etc. Plus the fact that the canopy and hull are actually one unit in the second shot. Continuity mistake: When Mrs. Otterton is in Chief Bogo's office holding her family photo with both paws, in the wideshots her purse is hanging in the crook of her left arm, but after a brief shot of Judy, when it cuts to Mrs. Otterton's closeup as she tells Bogo about her two beautiful children her purse is gone, then after another brief shot of Judy the purse is back in its place again in the wideshot.
Continuity mistake: After receiving the phone call from Nancy, when Robert and Morgan are talking in the taxi, his seatbelt repeatedly changes from over to under his trench coat collar. (00:16:45)
Continuity mistake: After being chased by soldiers after talking to his uncle, Dastan gets into a swordfight with Garsiv. As soon as it starts, Garsiv hits a pillar with his weapon knocking a significantly large chunk and a another smaller chunk out of it. In the immediate shot, the size and locations of the two chunks differ.
Continuity mistake: When Padmé gets her back scratched by the nexu, she seems to bleed. Even though she is wearing all white, and the scratches seems to be deep, her white top remains squeaky clean during the rest of the movie and does not get dirty from her wound. The wound itself also vanishes, not reappearing for the rest of the Geonosis sequence, even when she falls out of a gunship and goes rolling in the sand. (01:47:35)
Continuity mistake: When Johnny Cage is fighting Scorpion, and he does his human spear, Johnny runs until he stops at the tree. The spear then catches up, and becomes wrapped around the tree in front of Johnny. When the camera changes view, the spear is just leaning on the tree. The camera changes view again and the spear is wrapped around the tree again. When Scorpion pulls the spear back, it goes straight back, and doesn't unwind around the tree.
Continuity mistake: At Skull Rock, after the crocodile has nipped off a good bit of Hook's clothing, sock and shoe, when Hook rushes toward Smee in the boat the crocodile opens his mouth, and just as he swallows Hook he's nearly fully clothed and wearing both socks and both shoes.
Continuity mistake: In the wide-angle shots of the blue Willys (Jeep) wagon, the windshield is a 2-piece version with a vertical divider in the middle. The close-up shots don't have the divider.
Continuity mistake: After Sarah and Rios come out from the flooded cave, their clothes are bone dry even though there were almost fully submerged underwater. (01:01:25)
Continuity mistake: When Smee gives Hook his nightcap drink, Hook takes it in his hand and holds it at the top of the goblet so that it is hidden under his hand. But in the very next shot he is holding it by the handle and the whole goblet is now visible with a small black umbrella sticking out the top. Additionally, the position of the small umbrella that sits in the goblet changes a few times. (01:02:40)
Continuity mistake: In this scene we see John Wayne and others milking goats. The goats then get startled by a baby elephant and Wayne falls backwards on to the ground and you can see he takes the bowl with his right hand and the milk is thrown out of the bowl. In the next shot of him close up the bowl is on his head like a helmet when the bowl never even went on his head as he fell backwards. (01:09:20)
Continuity mistake: Either the first shot has a gratuitous view of the fort or the composite people neglected to add the fort in the second shot. Norrington says, "...this is the day that Capt. Jack Sparrow almost escaped. Take him away." The night shot that follows, shows the bridge archway, and beyond it the pier, Interceptor, the fort and its parapet. After Will breaks Jack out of prison, they approach the same archway and beyond it is the pier and Interceptor, but in this shot we don't see the fort and its parapet, nor the line that Jack slid down the day before. Continuity mistake: When the water wheel begins to roll, with Norrington and Will atop and then snatches up Jack, its blades (buckets on the outside rim) and two sides of the axle face a specific direction as it gains speed. Now compare the following two shots, as the water wheel rolls away from the camera: When the wheel rolls, just as Jack falls out, after hitting his head on the bar. Then later on the beach, as Elizabeth watches, just as the wheel rolls and falls over in the close-up, the wheel is actually rolling in the opposite direction - just note its blades. Also note the bizarre change of its axle's wide and narrow sides. (01:52:40 - 01:56:50)
Continuity mistake: After the pool incident when David is writing letters. Monica is looking over the letters that David has written. There's a point where you can see that she's still holding at least 2-3 sheets of paper but when the camera shifts back to the writing there's only one in her hand. There should be more than one paper in her hand. And when viewed from behind her back the sheets are neatly lying on top of each other, when seen from the front, the sheets are tilted. (00:46:43)
Continuity mistake: On the small sand spit, when Jack, Elizabeth and Barbossa meet with Will, Beckett, and Davy Jones, the leather cuff Jack wears on his right hand actually disappears and reappears twice during the meeting.
Continuity mistake: When Moana is throwing sticks into the ground, after she starts singing, look back at that spot and all the thrown sticks have disappeared.
Continuity mistake: In a scene towards the end of the movie, where Bond and Vesper are lying on the beach, Bond has sand on his back throughout most of the scene. When they start to kiss, in the distant shot towards the end of the scene, he has no sand on his back at all. (01:57:10)
Continuity mistake: In the scene just before the final attack on the castle, D'Artangan is surrounded by his fellow Musketeers. He gets off his horse and while doing so there is a tight close up where you see clearly that he is wearing his Musketeer outfit that he threw down on the floor in the previous scene. When he finishes talking to the horse (and he is back in his normal clothes) Porthos hands him the Musketeer uniform, which D'Artangan then puts on. (01:20:45)
Continuity mistake: When Sonic and Tails are fighting metal Robotnik, he shoots glue at Tail's tail. Tails says he can't fly to help Sonic, but when he gets the piece of concrete to surf across the water on you can see that his tails are not glued together.
Continuity mistake: In the second half of the film, Frodo has a scar on his lower right cheek, close to his chin. Many times throughout the rest of the film the scar changes position and size on his right cheek. It also appears on his left cheek in flipped shots (most obviously on the slopes of Mount Doom when Sam is cradling his head). (02:31:05 - 02:34:00)
