My Fair Esther - S5-E9

Revealing mistake: Fred is reading from "The Joanna Rhodes Beauty Book" and the title is shown on the dust cover. When Fred tilts the book, though, the words "Winston S. Churchill" are visible on the actual book under the dust cover. Also visible is the script from which the actor is reading, tucked inside the book and held by clips.

The Stand-In - S4-E16

Continuity mistake: When Fred puts the Turkey back on the table, the bowl of stuffing falls to the floor. The bowl is back on table while still talking to Lamont.

A Matter of Silence - S6-E16

Other mistake: Near the end, after Fred says, "If you take my hearing, you might as well take all of me, " Lamont turns off the lights by flipping the light switch up. A moment later, Lamont turns the lights back on by also flipping the light switch up.

Ebenezer Sanford - S5-E12

Audio problem: During the dream sequence, while the spirits of Christmas uses echoing sounds in their voices periodically, Fred's voice was not supposed to echo at all, but his voice can be heard echoing as well a few times.

Sergeant Gork - S5-E23

Factual error: During the meeting with American prisoners the lone woman says she's fought in both the European and Pacific theaters. Unless I'm mistaken, nobody got shipped from one to another during the war unless one theater was done.

Officer Hopkins: When we're finished, people will be able to walk down the streets safely in Los Angeles.
Fred Sanford: Yeah they can walk in Los Angeles, but they'll still be running in Watts.

Trivia: Throughout the series, a number of times Fred mentions "Pluto water." It was a popular strongly laxative natural water product that was sold until 1971, when production and sales halted because lithium, one of the mineral salts, was declared a controlled substance. Sanford and Son debuted in 1972, so Fred couldn't have had this product throughout the series.
