Revealing mistake: When Tintin and Oliviera da Figueria are talking with the guard at the castle door, the guard sneezes and Oliviera takes out a handkerchief saying "Some beautiful handkerchiefs." When Oliviera finishes taking out the handkerchief, as he says "Some", a weird mark appears on the screen, right where the handkerchief is located. Continuity mistake: When Tintin is investigating Mueller's room, he comes across a file with various articles in it. Before Tintin goes to pick up the file, the articles are on the right hand side of the file, but when he has the file in his hand, in the exact same shot, several articles have immediately appeared on the left hand side of it. Continuity mistake: After Mueller has caught Abdullah, Tintin shoots the lock off one of the cells and hides in it. When he is inside, the bullet damage from when he shot the lock is visible and is coloured green. A few shots later, the damage is suddenly beige and the same colour as the door. Continuity mistake: After Thomson and Thompson have inadvertently taken the Formula 14, Tintin, Haddock and Abdullah approach them with Mueller. There are oil stains all over one of side of Mueller's jacket and no oil stains on the other side, but after Thompson tells Mueller to get in the car, there are oil stains all over the jacket. Continuity mistake: After Tintin has found Abdullah, he fights with one of the guards and knocks the guard out. When Tintin knocks out the guard, he has a gun in his right hand. Two shots after this, the gun has vanished. (00:35:50)

Continuity mistake: When Abdullah opens the cell door, Tintin runs in and grabs Abdullah leaving the door open by a few inches. The shot cuts to the guard that Tintin had knocked out, and the door, visible in the background, is suddenly open entirely. The door has also changed from being grey to beige. (00:36:05)

Continuity mistake: When the military police are looking through the detectives' bags, one of them finds a bag that Thomson and Thompson assume to be the secret documents. The man begins to shake it and diamonds fall out. In the first shot of the diamonds falling out, as the shot ends, two diamonds are in the man's hand, followed by a third diamond falling out. The shot cuts and there are suddenly five diamonds in the man's hand, followed by a sixth diamond that falls out. (00:08:15)

Revealing mistake: Tintin sees the four men planting the explosive in the pipe line. Two of the four men are kneeling beside the pipe, one on the front side wearing a brown cloak and green clothing and one on the opposite side wearing grey clothing planting the explosive in the pipe. The man on the opposite side in grey clothing is passing through the pipe when the two are first kneeling. (00:12:20)

Revealing mistake: Mueller hops off his horse and tells Tintin (as Amed) to hold the horse and tells him he will be back in a moment. Throughout the entirety of this shot, the colour of the blanket on Mueller's horse constantly flickers between several frames. As Mueller gets off the horse, the blanket is dark teal, then Mueller hands the rein to his horse to Tintin and the blanket suddenly flickers to dark orange and also dark teal near the bottom. Tintin jumps off the horse and the blanket suddenly flickers back to dark teal again. (00:13:25)

Continuity mistake: After Tintin realises he was right that the man was Mueller, the shot then pans back to Mueller looking at his face in a small mirror. When the shot stops panning, there is nothing reflected in Mueller's mirror. The shot changes to a close-up of the mirror and Mueller's reflection suddenly appears in the mirror. (00:13:55)

Continuity mistake: Tintin is waiting for his meeting with the Emir in the castle. In the first interior shot of the castle whilst Tintin is waiting, the handle on the left side of the door is slightly lower than the handle on the right of the door. A few moments after Tintin walks into the room, the door closes behind him and the two door handles are suddenly level with each other. (00:19:05)

Character mistake: The man who escorts Tintin into the Emir's office asks Tintin if he is here about "today's events in the market" (referring to Thomson and Thompson crashing their jeep), to which Tintin replies "Yes", but seconds later, when Tintin is explaining his reasons to the Emir for visiting him, he states the events with the jeep occurred yesterday.
