Continuity mistake: After Haddock awakens after his hallucination, a Sherpa offers to carry his pack. Haddock storms off holding his bag strap with his right hand. Next shot, his right hand is free. (00:09:35)

Continuity mistake: When Haddock starts lowering Tharkey into the cave, a rope is wrapped around a walking stick. There are three loops around the stick to begin with. A couple of shots later in a close-up of the stick, there are now only two loops in the rope. (00:19:05)

Other mistake: When Tintin enters the cave, the footsteps follow behind him. An animation error occurs regarding one footstep, in which half of it vanishes from shot for a quick frame and then reappears as the shot starts to pan, revealing that the footsteps were not drawn by the animators in each individual frame. Continuity mistake: In an aerial angle of the king driving, he is driving on the middle of the road. In the next shot, he is suddenly driving on the left of the road. (00:32:55)

Other mistake: A museum curator notices that the leg of a dinosaur bone head been stolen after Snowy removed it. During this shot, the dinosaur's foot hasn't moved an inch. How can this be possible? Snowy managed to remove a dino leg with his teeth, so must have dislodged the rest of the bone while doing so. (00:26:55)

Continuity mistake: When Snowy walks into the museum, no-one is visible on the first half of the left side of the door. In the next shot, Tintin has appeared standing next to that spot, which was empty a moment ago. (00:26:30)

Continuity mistake: When a door to the museum opens, a man exits and keeps on walking in a 180 degree direction. In the next shot, he has instantly vanished without enough time to do so. (00:26:30)

Revealing mistake: On the peasant cart, Tintin notices a car. The next shot shows trees to the right of frame literally jiggling. (00:20:25)

Audio problem: When exiting the plane, Tintin says "I have to find out the truth." His mouth stops when he finishes saying "out." (00:14:55)
Chosen answer: If Hector was seriously intent on removing King Ottokar's scepter from the glass cage holding it and launching it through the window with the camera, then Hector would have been forced to knock out the two guards so they would not have interfered with Hector's plan as soon as he removed the scepter from the glass. As for Hector, himself, was explained when Tintin was explaining how Hector stole the scepter. Tintin placed a twig inside the camera and it launched out of the camera. Hector would have placed the scepter inside of the camera, and would have been knocked unconscious due to the spring effect created when the scepter had been launched.
