Pilot - S1-E1

Continuity mistake: Ponch's motorcycle gets stuck in a glue spill so strong he couldn't push the bike out. But he has no trouble walking through it or sliding through it when he falls off the bike. (00:15:00)

Dog Gone - S1-E3

Continuity mistake: Jon parks his motorcycle near the parking garage of his apt. Complex then throws his police jacket over the dog before going inside. However, a following scene shows him unlocking a small storage shed to retrieve the bike before taking off.

Aweigh We Go - S1-E12

Continuity mistake: A truck with load pins loaded with PVC pipe bypasses the weigh station. After Ponch and Jon pull it over, the truck driver gets out of the truck and the load pins are gone. (00:17:10 - 00:20:20)

Revealing mistake: A load of PVC pipe is secured to the truck with three straps. When the driver yanks on the rear strap, which comes off easily, the other two straps automatically become disengaged allowing the load to fall off the truck. (00:20:20)

Other mistake: As corvette guy races to get away from Ponch, the steering wheel breaks away, coming loose in his grip. Yet the car magically veers a sharp left before halting to a stop, instead crashing into the trees straight ahead of him.

One Two Many - S1-E13

Continuity mistake: When the phony cop pulls up beside the woman at the train/sports car MVA the emergency lights on the front of his bike are white, but when he is being chased by the real cop they are red, even when they are not on.

Surf's Up - S1-E15

Continuity mistake: The scene is shot in a traffic jam on the freeway. The sky has a gray overcast. All close up shots of the irate female driver were filmed in a studio - the background is flat and is a vivid blue. (00:04:00)

Vintage '54 - S1-E16

Continuity mistake: When the skydiver is dangling from the bridge, Jon has a hold of her chute trying to pull her up. The bolts connecting the sign she's caught on change between shots. With them breaking loose at one end, then intact again, then loose again before they give way.

Cry Wolf - S1-E18

Continuity mistake: Scene 1 has Station 51 with Engine 51 as the 'Ward Le France' and Squad 51. However in the next scene, Engine 51 is the 'open cab crown fire coach' that comes out with 'Squad 51' to respond to the responding call.

Crack-Up - S1-E21

Continuity mistake: A driver is wreaking havoc, putting two officers in the hospital. First while driving a Firebird, second when driving a tow truck. He is driving the tow truck as he approaches the accident of an overturned armoured truck. But the close-up shot of him as he goes by is from earlier while he was driving the Firebird. (00:43:00)

Disaster Squad - S2-E4

Visible crew/equipment: A pick-up truck driver is driving recklessly, runs into the back of a light blue car and rolls over. The ramp attached to the back of the car is visible. Even in the next shot when the car driver gets out the car, the ramp is still there. Then in the next shot when Jon is trying to calm the driver down the ramp is gone. (00:05:45)

Disaster Squad - S2-E4

Continuity mistake: In the scene where a blue van runs into the back of a black car, the van spins to almost a 180°. In the next shot the van is perpendicular to the freeway, making the spin only 90°. (00:20:35)

Neighborhood Watch - S2-E5

Continuity mistake: Jon, Ponch and three neighborhood boys are riding skateboards at a local park. They all wear Pro-tec brand helmets. In one close-up of Jon, the "Pro-tec" logo is backwards.

Neighborhood Watch - S2-E5

Continuity mistake: Jon rescues a young girl who was riding in a supermarket cart and almost got hit by a car. With the cart remaining in the street, Jon motioned the driver of the car to back up and go around it. The driver begins to back up and Jon turns to face the girl. In the very next shot, the car is already several feet past the cart.

Trivia: Although many realistic freeway numbers and exits mentioned over the 2-way radio are real, they were not used in the show. An unused section of the 210 freeway (close to the 118 freeway) in the San Fernando Valley that wasn't quite open to the public yet, was the location nearly always shown on the show representing whatever location is mentioned. If you see many episodes, you can see the same section of freeway always shown.
