Pilot (season 1, episode 1)
Continuity: When Leonard and Sheldon are sitting in the sperm bank waiting area, the position of Sheldon's bag strap keeps changing.
Continuity: When Leonard shouts "Sheldon, sit!" his hand rests on the arm of his chair, then it is off, and then back on the arm again.
Continuity: After Penny gets in the shower and throws her towel to the floor, the towel changes position in the next shot, as well as her boots and clothes on the counter as well.
Continuity: When Penny sits in Sheldon's seat, the cushion on the other side of the couch rotates itself; evident by the buttons sewn on it.
Continuity: When Penny is in the shower, there is a red comb on the cistern of the toilet. In the next shot, it has moved without anyone touching it.
Continuity: During the scene where Penny, Sheldon and Leonard eat takeaway and converse, the blue throw hanging over the couch behind Penny continually changes from neat and uncreased, to messy and creased up.
Continuity: When Leonard, Sheldon, Penny, Koothrappali, and Wolowitz are driving at the end to get some dinner, the cars outside are constantly changing drastically.
The Big Bran Hypothesis (season 1, episode 2)
Continuity: At the end of the episode, when the gang is reading the furniture assembly instructions, a pencil in the cup in front of them suddenly vanishes.
Visible crew/equipment: When Sheldon is mentioning about the coffee table having a garage sale, there is a shot of Leonard with all the stagelights reflected in the kettle.
Visible crew/equipment: When Penny is having a go at Sheldon and Leonard, there is a shot of some metal pans with stage lights visible in them.
The Fuzzy Boots Corollary (season 1, episode 3)
Continuity: When Sheldon is telling Leonard that he didn't ask Penny out, there is a yellow food-bag on the counter between them that keeps changing it's position with every shot change.
Continuity: When Sheldon, Howard and Raj play Jenga, there is one block sitting at the top of the tower. When Leonard walks in, there are now two blocks at the top, before we actually see Howard place the second one on the top.
Factual error: Sheldon puts the sword up for sale on eBay. He then says, after only four seconds, that someone had "bought it now". Ebay items take up to an hour to appear in the listings/search results. So in 4 seconds, it was listed, Howard found the item, went through the standard purchasing form and bought the item. There is no way to find, and buy, an item in 4 seconds.
Revealing: When everybody is on their laptops at the beginning of the episode, you can clearly see in many shots that their screens are black.
The Luminous Fish Effect (season 1, episode 4)
Continuity: At the buffet table when the gang gets food, Howard walks in with his 'date.' Between shots, as he walks in, in one shot Sheldon puts his right hand up on his plate. In the next shot his hand is down.
Continuity: When Leonard and Sheldon are walking downstairs, Sheldon stops and pins back up the caution tape that is in front of the elevator. Between shots, the other strip of caution tape untwists itself.
Continuity: When Penny comes into the apartment to ask if Sheldon needs anything from the market, between the few shots, the position of the napkin and the pile of eggs on the plate he is holding changes.
Continuity: When Sheldon's mom is saying the prayer, the bread roll that Raj is holding swaps hands, and then it disappears in the shot where she tells them they don't have to join in with the end of the prayer.
The Hamburger Postulate (season 1, episode 5)
Character mistake: When Leonard is explaining his thoughts to Sheldon, during the rant which includes him naming who he intends with the words she or her (eg "She: Penny, Her: Leslie), he states, "Indicating that She: Penny had no interest in me asking Her: Penny out," which makes no sense.
Continuity: At the end when Sheldon has got a burger, the amount of burger left changes depending on the camera angle.
Continuity: After Penny says that she is happy for Leonard, Leonard is behind Sheldon. The camera cuts and now he is in front of Sheldon.
The Middle Earth Paradigm (season 1, episode 6)
Continuity: When Leonard is talking to Sheldon in the kitchen about the party, Sheldon is pouring juice. In one shot he places the bottle cap on the bottle yet in the next shot his hand is down on the counter with the lid in it.
Visible crew/equipment: When Sheldon is being asked not to embarrass Leonard, the stage lights can be seen in the pans behind him.
The Dumpling Paradox (season 1, episode 7)
Continuity: When Leonard and Sheldon are talking with Penny during the scene where she is being allowed to sleep on their couch, the pullstring on her hooded jacket keeps alternating from hanging loose to being caught inside the top of the jacket.
Other: While the group are trying to figure out how to play Halo without Howard, Leonard jokingly suggests cutting Raj in half. Raj responds, "Oh sure, cut the foreigner in half. There's a billion more where he came from." But Penny is in the room with them and it's been established many times that Raj cannot talk when there are girls present (unless they are in a large group or he is drunk). Raj can't talk "around women", as explained by Leonard in the pilot.
The Grasshopper Experiment (season 1, episode 8)
Other: Raj plays the message on his phone. Howard then takes the phone and instantly, physically dials her number, despite the fact he did not look for it and does not know her or her number.
Continuity: When Raj's parents tell him to put his laptop down and gather his friends, they all huddle around the one-seat sofa. Sheldon is crouched to the left of the seat with his hands on the sidearm, yet in shots angled at the left he has disappeared from his place (as to not obstruct these particular angled shots.)
Continuity: When Raj is drinking with Lalita in the bar Penny works at, in one shot he raises his Grasshopper drink to his lips with his left hand. In the next shot it's in his right (this is just before he says "Oh my God, you've lost so much weight").
Continuity: When Raj starts talking to Penny after he drinks the Grasshopper drink in her apartment, in one frontal shot he lifts the drink and begins to drink but in the next shot from behind the drink is back on the counter.
The Cooper-Hofstadter Polarization (season 1, episode 9)
Continuity: The video on Youtube is different to what actually happened.
The Loobenfeld Decay (season 1, episode 10)
Continuity: Sheldon puts the bag in the bin at the start of the episode so that the handle's are facing the ground. When he gets the bag out, the handles are at the top of the bin.
Continuity: When Penny is telling Howard and Raj about Sheldon's "drug addicted cousin" her scarf keeps jumping in and out of her jacket.
Continuity: When Sheldon is talking with Leonard in the kitchen at night, as he pours himself a mug of milk the mug moves between shots.
Continuity: During the whole opening scene, the way in which Leonard holds the letters in his hands keeps differing.
Audio problem: When Sheldon is knocking on Leonard's door at the start, the sound is out of sync with the action.
The Pancake Batter Anomaly (season 1, episode 11)
Continuity: When Sheldon walks out his bedroom wrapped in a comforter, he drops it on the higher level before the drop down to the kitchen. In the next shot as he walks away from the fridge, half of the comforter is now spread over the lower level without anyone moving it.
Continuity: After Leonard gives Penny her pile of mail, she alternates from holding the pile by her side to at her front between each shot.
The Jerusalem Duality (season 1, episode 12)
Continuity: At the start when Sheldon and Leonard are sitting at the table, and then talking with Dennis, their soda cans on the table keep rotating themselves and the straws in them change position a couple of times too.
The Bat Jar Conjecture (season 1, episode 13)
Continuity: At the end, when Leonard is gloating over beating Sheldon, his position on the sofa keeps changing in relation to the arm.
The Nerdvana Annihilation (season 1, episode 14)
Continuity: In the scene where Leonard is packing up his collectables to sell, at 15:32 he is dusting what appears to be a Hasbro Marvel Legends Yellow jacket figure, which also has a yellow post-it on the back. At 15:42 he is still dusting a figure but he now holds a different (darker but not yellow) figure from the same series, with no post-it on the back, and the Yellow jacket figure is now on the table (house left of the box of collectables). At 15:56 The Yellow jacket figure has disappeared from the table, and it is not the figure in Leonard's hands either.
The Pork Chop Indeterminacy (season 1, episode 15)
Character mistake: Through the whole episode, Missy's accent is sometimes completely missing in scenes and then stronger and more noticeable in others.
Continuity: When Sheldon says that his sister was sent to spy on him, his arms are behind his back. Camera cuts and they are now at his side.
The Peanut Reaction (season 1, episode 16)
Continuity: In the electronics store, when the man asks Sheldon which hard drive he should buy in the first shot he is holding the green box in his left hand. Next shot it is under his arm.
Continuity: When Penny asks Sheldon "What trauma?" in the electronics store, Sheldon holds two boxes - one with an orange side on top of one with a black side. In the next shot the black sided box is on top of the orange one. The boxes then continue to swap places during the whole scene.
Revealing: In the scene where Leonard is supposedly playing Halo 3 against somebody in Copenhagen, there is no ethernet cable or wireless adapter connected to the back of the Xbox 360, which means that there is no way he can be playing online with someone in another country.
The Tangerine Factor (season 1, episode 17)
Continuity: When Penny is talking to Leonard about who read her Ex's blog, she has a spoon full of ice-cream. Camera cuts and it's now empty.
Continuity: Penny throws a black iPod out the window but when Raj comes in he has a silver one. This is a mistake as it's explained that it is the one Penny threw out.
Revealing: When Penny goes into Sheldon and Leonard's apartment, to throw the iPod out the window, it is clear she doesn't actually throw the iPod.
Continuity: When Penny is squirting chocolate syrup in the ice cream container, she drizzles some on the lip of the carton, causing it to run down the outside. The camera switches to Leonard and then back to Penny, at which point, the chocolate is gone.
The Bad Fish Paradigm (season 2, episode 1)
Continuity: In the laundry room when Penny is talking to Sheldon, Sheldon takes some time arranging a blue shirt on his plastic laundry folder. Then it suddenly turns into a pair of socks, which he folds and then picks up the blue shirt again. There was not enough time for him to switch out the shirt for the socks.
Continuity: When Sheldon is sitting with Raj in his apartment watching television, the can of soda on the table in front of him rotates itself a couple of times.
Continuity: At the start when Leonard and Penny are kissing, Penny's hands keep changing place. This continues right up until she goes in.
The Codpiece Topology (season 2, episode 2)
Continuity: When Leonard and Leslie are talking about assuming a relationship, in the cafeteria, the angle of the straw sticking out of Leonard's soda can continually changes throughout the whole scene.
Continuity: When Sheldon and Penny are talking at the end on the stairs, Penny's hands keep changing from clenched to hanging down.
The Barbarian Sublimation (season 2, episode 3)
Revealing: When Sheldon gets the sword for Penny in the game, Penny walks out and you can see the laptop isn't switched on.
Continuity: When Penny sneaks into Sheldon's room at night to ask him about the online game, she leaves his bedroom door half open. But when she leaves, the door is shut.
Continuity: After Penny drops her bags of groceries whilst trying to unlock her door, the dropped items change their positions between shots (note the items against the wall.)
Continuity: When Leslie and Sheldon are talk to Dr. Eric Gablehauser in his office, in one shot Eric throws a piece of paper onto the desk behind him (next to the computer.) Through the rest of the scene, this piece of paper keeps changing position.
Plot hole: Penny calls Sheldon on his mobile when he is with Leslie Winkle and Dr. Gablehouser, in the Doctor's office. She then rings Dr. Gablehouser's office to speak to Sheldon. How did she, A) know where Sheldon was, and B) get Dr. Gablehouser's office number so quickly.
Other: Penny comes home and gets her car key stuck in her door lock. Sheldon then goes out to see why she is banging on the door. Penny explains how she is a failure and Sheldon suggests calling a locksmith and Penny says she already has. But she got in her key stuck then within 10 seconds Sheldon was there. She didn't have time to phone a locksmith.
The Lizard-Spock Expansion (season 2, episode 8)
Continuity: When the guys are in the Mars Rover test room, the time displayed on the large digital clock seen behind Howard jumps about inconsistently between each shot.
Continuity: When Leonard is talking to Penny in the laundry room; as he walks forward to ask her about whether him dating Stephanie is wrong, the box of washing powder on the machine behind him alternately has it's lid closed or open.
Continuity: The way Leonard holds the can of Diet coke before he puts it down changes between shots.
Continuity: When Sheldon goes to speak to Leonard, he is sitting on the couch. Camera cuts to Raj for one second, then to Penny and you can see Sheldon has crossed the apartment and is now in the hall. There is not enough time to move that far in that time.
Continuity: When Raj says Star Trek 5 is worse than Star Trek 1, his hands are outspread. Camera cuts and now they are clasped together.
Continuity: At the very beginning, Leonard's Diet Coke keeps changing position without anyone touching it.
The White Asparagus Triangulation (season 2, episode 9)
Continuity: When Sheldon is in Penny's apartment trying to get her to tell him why her relationship with Leonard failed, the yellow tee-shirt on the red pillow next to him keeps changing position.
Character mistake: Sheldon is an obsessive compulsive and picky person and he picks a pre-designated seat in all places. Yet when he enters Penny's apartment to talk to her he promptly sits on the couch, which was not where he chose 'his seat' to be. It seems out of character that he would sit there when he has a ready-chosen spot and that his nature is as it is.
Continuity: When Leonard is helping Sheldon open the jar, the red napkin which he left on the couch where he was sitting changes position in every shot.
Continuity: When Sheldon is questioning Raj and Howard in the cafeteria, the bottle of water is on Raj's tray faces the camera with the barcoded side. But in one closeup it rotates to show the logo-branded side.
Continuity: When Sheldon, Koothrapali and Wolowitz are talking in the cafeteria, Sheldon's drink keeps moving position.
Continuity: When climbing the stairs at the start, Penny and Sheldon turn the corner and carry on the conversation. Camera cuts and now they turn the corner again and continue their conversation without breaking it.
The Vartabedian Conundrum (season 2, episode 10)
Continuity: When Leonard and Penny are talking in the dryer room, the size of the towel Penny is folding keeps changing.
Other: Leonard sends a very long text to Stephanie. However it only takes him five seconds to write this long text.
Continuity: When Stephanie asks Leonard why he hasn't told her about Penny, he spills some of the pancake mixture out of the bowl he is stirring. In some shots the spilled mixture vanishes and the appears again.
Continuity: When Sheldon is told that he can't talk, he goes from sitting to standing instantly.
Continuity: When Leonard, Raj and Howard are talking about Leonard's new trousers, the items on the tray behind Howard keep changing.
Continuity: When Sheldon is talking via the laptop, the amount of words he says is different to the amount of keys hit.
The Bath Item Gift Hypothesis (season 2, episode 11)
Continuity: When Sheldon emerges with all of the bath item gift baskets for Penny, he drops them on the floor and chair. Between shots one of the baskets on the chair changes from being an upright green-ribboned basket, to a toppled-over white-ribboned basket.
Continuity: When Leonard gives Penny her christmas gift, as she unwraps it she tears the paper off so that most of the box is exposed. In the next shot much more of the wrapping is back intact and differently positioned.
Continuity: When Penny takes a drink from the egg-nog carton before kissing Leonard on the cheek, between shots the logo-branded label changes which direction it faces in her hand.
The Financial Permeability (season 2, episode 14)
Continuity: When the guys are using the whiteboard to figure out their cinema plans, Sheldon draws two black X's on the board with a marker. In the following shots the appearance of the X's changes.
Continuity: When using the whiteboard at the beginning, Raj writes "7:11" on the board with a red marker. Later on when Sheldon returns to the apartment with Red Vines, this has vanished from the whiteboard although nobody rubbed it out.
The Cushion Saturation (season 2, episode 16)
Continuity: At the end, Sheldon fires 5 shots at Leonard, who somehow ends up with 7 distinct paintball marks on his chest.
The Work Song Nanocluster (season 2, episode 18)
Continuity: When Penny puts the box down at the start it is closed. Camera cuts and it's open instantly.
Continuity: When Penny gets the package, the position of the box on the counter keeps changing position.
The Classified Materials Turbulence (season 2, episode 22)
Continuity: When Raj is going through the ideas on what would work to fix the toilet, Sheldon's hand is not near his face, but when Howard talks about moving to Israel, Sheldon's hand is up by his face.
Continuity: In the comic book store, when Stuart and Leonard are talking about Penny saying "Leonard" when with Stuart, Stuart's pen/hand is constantly changing position instantly.
Continuity: Leonard is talking to Stuart at the door to his (Leonard's) apartment. Howard then comes over and slams the door in Stuart's face and Leonard has moved back about 4-ft instantly.
The Monopolar Expedition (season 2, episode 23)
Other: When Sheldon knocks on Penny's door and Penny knocks back, she does so instantly. Either she was waiting at the door for Sheldon to come and knock, or she moves very fast.
Audio problem: When Sheldon and Penny have the knocking match on Penny's door, the sound for Sheldon's knocks is out of sync.
Continuity: When Penny finds out about the expedition, Sheldon starts to walk to his apartment. Camera cuts to Leonard in the apartment for five seconds and then to Penny in the doorway. Behind her, you can see Sheldon walking to the apartment still. Since he was halfway to start with, he should be in the apartment by now.
