Family Ties - S6-E16

Other mistake: Dr. Morton notifies the operator of the Code Red in room 127. Everybody knows room 127 is Dr. Brackett's office.

Greatest Rescues of Emergency - S7-E5

Other mistake: As the men are receiving their new badges and the chief congratulates them, he calls Craig Brice. The Brice that accepts the new rank is a black man. In all previous episodes, Brice is white.

The Inspection - S5-E5

Continuity mistake: Just before the opening credits both Engine 51 and Squad 51 are inside the station. The alarm goes off and when Squad 51 leaves the station Engine 51 has vanished.

Involvement - S5-E19

Revealing mistake: The former head nurse is supposed to be unconscious when she's picked up from the couch. Yet she puts her hand up on a shoulder when being carried out.

Inferno - S3-E21

Other mistake: The Battalion chief assigns tanker 76 to assist engines 51 and 60 with the rescue at the canyon. However, it is tanker 44 that arrives.

Rip-Off - S2-E20

Deliberate mistake: At the very end of the episode, Roy and John are walking back to the unit and the driver side mirror appears to be parallel with the unit. The driver would see their own reflection at best.

The Mouse - S4-E20

Continuity mistake: When the guys come out and are watching Herbert leave, they are all in their turnout pants. Stoker is wearing turnout pants with the blue jacket zipped. When the tones drop for the call, the guys go to the vehicles and grab their turn out jackets and Stoker is in his blue pants and blue shirt pulling on a turnout coat. Not turnouts and no navy jacket.

Captain Hook - S6-E8

Other mistake: As the fire apparatus are leaving the station for the helicopter rescue, the shot from the front shows doors at the back of the building but when they are leaving it shows a brick wall at the back of the building.

Suggested correction: When Station 54 are leaving for the "aircraft down" rescue, in the exterior long shot from across the street (of the real Station 127), we are not seeing the apparatus bay with a head-on frontal view. The camera is positioned so that viewers see the apparatus bay at an angle, and we are only able to see the very long interior left brick wall, with the doors to locker room/bathroom and the dorm. The back of the building with the rear roll-up door is simply not visible at this particular angle.

Grateful - S5-E21

Continuity mistake: When Roy and Johnny go to get on the helicopter they are with only the orange bio-phone, but after The Boat brings them back to the shore you see them running to the helicopter with the patients, and they pick up their large black trauma box. They didn't have it with them when they left.

Nagging Suspicion - S4-E4

Continuity mistake: When Gage goes into the lion enclosure you see the lion up high roar with sharp white teeth but the other shots the lion is now an older lion with broken rotten looking teeth.

Seance - S2-E18

Continuity mistake: When Brackett leads Mr. Teal to his wife they walk into treatment 2, which has a windowless door, but in the shot from inside the room they're actually in treatment 1, which has a window on its door.

Super Grover

Firehouse Quintet - S6-E18

Continuity mistake: After winning the semi-finals against 16, when Chet walks into the kitchen in the closeups John's holding the newspaper filled with photos on the page facing out, but in the wideshots an entirely different page faces out. (00:45:00)

Messin' Around - S3-E15

Other mistake: Stoker prematurely plots 617 Kimble Road on the map as the dispatcher is barely starting to say the address. Then the squad leads in the departure from the station, but when the squad arrives to the above dispatched location the engine is already finished with the dumpster fire.

Suggested correction: 1st part of the mistake is already noted and 2nd part is incorrect. The Engine and Squad are dispatched to 617-1/2 Kimball for unknown type rescue and Squad leads. At the destination, Captain Stanley walks to the front door and rings the bell, while off camera Roy and Johnny get rescue gear and join Stanley at front door. Dispatch then sends the Engine to a trash container fire at Farber/Wilmington, while Roy and Johnny's Squad stays with the current rescue involving dieffenbachia. After this, the Squad joins the Engine.

Other mistake: When the plane crashes into the neighborhood and traps Gage and DeSoto in the house, you see outside shots of the squad when the other two paramedics arrive. You can see a large piece of smoking engine/plane laying on the back end of the squad, right over the spare air tanks. They would have exploded when something that heavy and hot landed on them, since they are filled with oxygen. The tanks would be full or they would not be on the back of the squad.

Suggested correction: Probably air tanks, because oxygen tanks are always painted green. Both kinds of tank are very tough. Hard to tell with how much force the plane debris might have landed except that the truck still looks pretty much intact. However, if the plot required it, I would find it completely believable that the crash could have exploded the tanks, but also don't find it strange that they didn't explode.

The Game - S6-E1

Trivia: It's in this episode that the Heimlich Maneuver is used for the first time by the paramedics. At the USC game, when a guy is choking on a hot dog, John and Roy are called, and John uses the Heimlich. Up until season 6 we've seen the guys use other methods, such as the ChokeSaver which look like huge white tweezers, to remove obstructions in an airway, as seen in 4x9, "Foreign Trade."

Show generally

Question: In quite a few episodes of Emergency there is a character that the doctors and other nurses call Nurse Carol. She is the older nurse with dark hair. I would say she is on at least a fourth of all episodes in all seasons yet I can not see this actress getting credited or listed as uncredited anywhere. I wonder if she was an actual nurse. Does any one know who she was. Yes there also were a couple of other actresses who played a nurse named Carol on one or two episodes and they are listed in the episode guides. She also is the patient with her arm in the cast talking to Dr. Morton in the episode 6:18 Firehouse Quintet.

Answer: On IMDB, actress Anne Schedeen is listed as playing Nurse Carol on six episodes from 1974-76.
