Continuity: "The City Beneath the Sea": Seaview is on the ocean floor investigating the underwater city. Two inserted stock shots then show it up near the surface at periscope depth. In the next shot, though, it's back on the bottom again.
Continuity: "Escape from Venice": Nelson spins the roulette wheel. We see a close-up of the wheel slowing down. Cut back to a full shot, and now the wheel is spinning faster than ever, even though no one has touched it.
Revealing: "The City Beneath the Sea": When Seaview's crew recover the diver's body in the beginning and clear seaweed from his mask, the "dead" man is blinking.
Factual error: "The Price of Doom": Crane clears an Air Force jet to land at the Antarctic ice station. But the station is located on a completely snow-covered sheet of ice with no runways. How and where could it possibly land?
Deliberate "mistake": "Long Live the King": The Seaview's 8 huge picture windows were a concession to design over practicality. Though they knew that such big windows could never withstand deep sea pressures, the producers wanted the characters - and the audience - to be able to see all the underwater wonders "up close." The "impossible" windows became one of the show's most popular features.
Factual error: "The Phantom Strikes": The Seaview's military history computers need an upgrade. The derelict German sub is identified as a WWI ship, the U444, supposedly sunk in 1918. There were only 167 U-boats in WWI. U444 wasn't built until 1942. And the sub's design is definitely WWII, not WWI.
