Midway through shooting, Franchot Tone got into a brawl that left him with facial abrasions on one side so severe they couldn't be covered with make-up. So, in the "glass room" scenes, shots of him are, bizarrely, in profile only or taken from behind barriers obscuring half his face. Revealing: When all of the neighborhood children push Bevis's car for him, one of them looks directly into the camera.

Continuity: Mr. Bevis slides down the banister and tumbles out onto the street. His disarrayed hair combs itself when he stands up - but it's messy again when he gets into his car.

Other: The little boy is right in the doorway when Mr. Bevis falls down the stairs, but when the camera pans out to a wider shot, the little boy isn't in the doorway.

Continuity: In the early scene when Bevis tumbles down the stairs of his apartment, a little boy watches and then holds his hands over his eyes. In the next shot, the boy is shown walking outside, but then the camera cuts and he is shown back inside, his hands still over his eyes.

Continuity: When Mr. Bevis starts his car, a girl with shoulder-length hair runs over with other children to help push it. In the first shot she's at the rear bumper but in the following shot she's beside the passenger door and there are different kids at the rear bumper.
