Continuity mistake: The BAU has its 'own' airplane in use at the FBI. However the type of plane used varies between episodes and even within an episode (and even for at least one episode within one shot; see previous post). Although it would be likely for the BAU to have one dedicated airplane at least within one episode, it could be they time-share and so different planes are used. No matter what plane they are using, one thing never changes and that's the interior of the planes. So even when a different type of plane is used (e.g. Gulf Stream V vs. 100), the interior remains the same.

Season 1 generally

Continuity mistake: They keep showing the aerial view of one type of jet (such as Gulfstream 100 with its rectangular windows), but the inside shots are always in a "heavy" Gulfstream (such as Gulfstream IV or Gulfstream V, which have round windows). Also, the tail numbers (the N-numbers written on the engine) are always different in the aerial views. Some end with GV, some with SP etc.

Extreme Aggressor - S1-E1

Continuity mistake: When Gideon is talking when we first see him, the pictures behind him on the screen change instantly. It should be noted, that when we see the pictures change, there is the audible click and visual delay of a slide change which is not present on the instant change. (00:04:20)

Extreme Aggressor - S1-E1

Continuity mistake: At the start we see Spencer explaining to Gideon about the Boston Strangler, his orange shirt is untucked at the front with both sides of his shirt being visible. Camera shows Gideon walking off and now only 1 side of his shirt is untucked. (00:05:10)

Suggested correction: Morgan doesn't ask what song on that album would speak to an insomniac, he asks what Metallica song in general would. He says, and I quote, "Okay, so I'm an insomniac who listens to Metallica to get to sleep. What song could possibly speak to me?" His query is in regards to the band's discography as a whole; neither he nor Reid mention a specific album, so the fact that "Some Kind of Monster" is the CD that they find is, ultimately, irrelevant.

Cubs Fan

The team was looking for what CD Slessman listened to the most to figure out what his password could be. They had no luck going through all his metal collection. The clue was suppose to be Slessman listened to "Some Kind of Monster" CD the most to help him sleep, which is why it wasn't in the case.

Bishop73

As Bishop73 says, its implied that Some Kind Of Monster is played most. And so the hint would be one of those tracks. But as stated in the mistake, Enter Sandman isn't on that album.

Won't Get Fooled Again - S1-E3

Audio problem: The video game Penelope is playing is supposed to be Tetris, but the sound effects are from the Atari 2600 version of Pac-Man. You can hear Pac-Man die four times during the scene. (00:12:20)

Won't Get Fooled Again - S1-E3

Other mistake: Just after they were finished explaining that you can not tilt the mystery package because it would instantly blow up, they show the little girl at her doorstep holding the package completely tilted. Just when you think that means that this package now doesn't fall into the "explosive" category, they then show the mom freaking out, and later police making the girl hold the package in a completely different (non-tilted) position.

Plain Sight - S1-E4

Continuity mistake: At the very end on the plane, Gideon gives Reid the two tickets as his birthday present. In the shot facing Reid, he holds the tickets facing himself. In the reverse shot, the tickets now face Gideon. (00:39:30)

L.D.S.K. - S1-E6

Visible crew/equipment: After the three people at the restaurant patio are shot it cuts to the black screen, and in the next shot as the camera pans over the blood stained table, the red T-mark is visible on the ground in front of Gideon's feet. (00:13:15)

L.D.S.K. - S1-E6

Audio problem: As Scott McCarty is shot there is no sound of a shot being fired, suggesting a silencer, however as the assailant's rifle is pulled inside the car you can see that the weapon has no silencer.

The Fox - S1-E7

Continuity mistake: Before the BAU catches the serial killer Carl Arnold, they used a heat sensor and it shows five people sitting at a table. They said there were three adults and two kids, but when they break in the house, the mother and one kid were sitting at the table, the father was tied up nearby, and Carl Arnold and the other child were in the basement. They were found by Derek Morgan right before Carl Arnold threw the child at Gideon, who fortunately caught him.

Derailed - S1-E9

Continuity mistake: After the woman is shot on the train we see the CCTV feed in the FBI command centre which shows Reid standing up. Camera changes to inside the train and Reid is sat down. (00:33:40)

Limelight - S3-E13

David Rossi: When I interviewed Bundy, he had a theory about pornography. He said "If you want to stop people from becoming like me, don't burn Catcher in the Rye."
Aaron Hotchner: "Burn Hustler." I read your books, too, Dave.

Question: The crew takes a private jet to most locations but always have the same black S.U.V.s. How do the vehicles get there as fast as the crew?

RGW

Chosen answer: Black SUVs are common police, military and dignitary vehicles around the world. It is not too much to assume they could be rented or owned by the police forces in the areas.

kristenlouise3

Other people have explained it but fore more information, federal cars would most likely be brought to the airport from the nearest agency, so they can drive out to their locations especially in rural situations.

Answer: There is only one BAU (or that's the impression the show gives, in reality there's 5 teams within the BAU), and they're based out of Quantico. However, the FBI has 56 field offices, each with their own vehicles leased from the over 200,000 vehicles that make up the Federal motor fleet. There are long term leases to federal agencies on these cars, in addition to there always being vehicles being made available to lease on an ad hoc basis for assignments. Plus, local and state police likely also have their own unmarked fleets, but due to the vehicles being mostly the same make/model/color in most episodes, they'd likely be borrowed from the nearest field office or other local federal office or ad hoc leased from the fleet for the assignment.
